  1. Hi, does anyone know if Argos are flexible in regards to the 30 days thing on their returns policy (with a bit of persuasion)? I bought a gas BBQ at the start of June, but didn't realise that gas for the bloody thing would cost more than the actual barbeque...so ideally I'd like to swap it for a charcoal one. In the past I've known Argos to be fairly flexible in regards to their returns policy...would they give me store credit for it? It's in perfect condition and hasn't even been taken out of the box. I just spoke to someone on their "customer services" helpline who said there is literally nothing they can do about it...I don't believe her.
  2. I have made a claim under SOGA to return my car as it is faulty and not as described. Bought with a credit card (have sent claim to them as well) and came with a 3 month warranty for faults and labour etc. As I drove it away and less than a mile from the forecourt the engine light came on. Couldn't take it back then and there as the garage had closed, had to crawl home which is quite some distance away. On advice of dealer took it to the manufacturing garage, fault codes found among many other things wrong. Dealer admitted he hadn't inspected it properly before sale, and told me to push manufacturing garage for a new engine in the car (I have this in writing). Tells me he is aware the car has a history of problems so I then decided to reject the vehicle. I sent the SOGA letter nearly a month ago but I still have the car. I've asked for a copy of any returns policy, but haven't had one. The dealer is now telling me when it goes back to him I won't get my refund immediately. He's saying it will be inspected first and then "we'll take it from there". I'm not happy to return the car without coming away with the money I paid for it, and to be honest at this point I don't trust him to refund me my money. I have repeatedly asked him why it needs inspection given all the reports from the manufacturing garage, what the inspection is for, how long it will take, who will be doing it etc. haven't been answered. He tells me he doesn't want to trust a 3rd party report, but I'm supposed to trust his presumably 3rd party inspection? Can anyone tell me where I stand on this? Thanks.
  3. I recently had my employment terminated during a probation period due to ill health. My former employer is withholding the following documents SSP1 P45 Final payslip Until I return some company property ( samples and paperwork, minimal monetary value - no electronics/high value items) I have asked for these to be collected by their couriers as I am simply cannot afford to send them by courier or deliver them in person (5 hour round trip from home to place of work) My former employer is refusing to collect and stating that it is their policy that employees incur the cost of returning property. It is worth pointing out that I did not have a written contract or even a written statement of particulars ( in post for 6 months and requested frequently) I spoke to HMRC yesterday who advised calling ACAS. ACAS advised that the payslip must be sent or I could start ET proceedings. All I want is for them to collect the stuff, send me my documents so that I can forward them to DWP and draw a line under everything. I don't want to get into any protracted battles, I have enough on my plate now with a new claim for ESA!! Any advice would be much appreciated - I think I am being reasonable in asking them to collect the property - I understand that they could pursue a civil case if I refuse to return property - but I am not wanting to hold on to it - I simply want them to collect it.
  4. Hi all im hoping someone can give me a bit of advice. Im due to go back to work on June 3rd after being off on maternity leave (my older posts explain the problems i had there, but ive now got a lovely little boy called max) My maternity pay finished 2 weeks ago and i am now using up 4 weeks holiday from last year. A couple of weeks ago i popped into where i work and my boss (a new one not the one from my previous posts but hes just as bad) approached me and asked if i could pop into work one day to discuss my rota when i return to work....he already knew the date i had proposed to come back and he was fine with this. We had the above mentioned meeting yesterday and he sat me down in the canteen, my son was with me as i have no one to look after him, he got his diary out and asked again when i was returning to work so i told him and he then asked what i wanted from this meeting......i thought we were talking about the work rota not having a meeting. He asked about my circumstances, about my parents, about my sons father......some quite deep probing questions that i didnt think were relevant, but i told him as he then cant turn round and say i said nothing. Now this is where im kicking myself because he asked about my working hours and what can and cant i do........as i hadnt made a written request for flexible working within 28 days of my return. Have i completely blown any chance of working around my childcare? I have no one, and when i say no one i mean no one, to help me with my sons and im scared to death now im not going to be able to work the hours he wants me to do and i think he knows hes got me over a barrel. Ive had so much going on since having my son, losing my home, being the victim of DV, going to court for restraining orders, being made homeless again by my sister kicking me out.......my head hasnt been where it should be so i never even thought about flexible working request. Anyway i told him i had found a nursery for my baby just around the corner from where i work, that had been a struggle in itself as places are few and far between. The nursery is only open monday to friday 8am - 6pm, i said to my boss i would like to work 9-2pm monday to friday....i cant work weekends as ive got no childcare, i cant do 6am starts as ive got no one to take my other son to school and i cant do 10pm finishes as i dont have childcare and i dont have anyone to fetch my son from school......my sons school is 14 miles from where i live so he cant walk. Ive been told by my boss that he cant see how this will work as im a "team leader and in effect im there to run shifts and manage the staff" and "if i start at 9am monday to friday there will already be a manager there whos been there since 6am so there would be no point me being there" Hes said he can look into moving me to another store but he doesnt think anyone will want me due to my working hours. He said he will have to speak to HR to seek advice and if they tell him i can come back on my requested hours then "hes stuck with me on those hours" if they say i cant do those hours then he doesnt know what im going to do. Have i totally ballsed this up by not putting in a flexible working hours request? I cant see his reason as to why i cant do those hours as being a valid reason, but again ive put nothing down in writing so i dont think i have a leg to stand on if he says no. Stressing out here and thats not good Help! Thanks in advance x
  5. Hi all, Whilst this matter is being sorted, I am concerned about the length of time, and the sequence of events by the retailer. About 18 months ago, I rebuilt my desktop computer. Most of the components came from SCAN International – obviously spending quite some cash. Not long after, the graphic card failed. I contacted SCAN who persuaded me to contact the manufacturer (nVidia/EVGA) [not even SCANs wholesaler/supplier]. Reluctantly I did this to save time, but it cost me money to return the item to Germany etc. 1/ About a fortnight ago, one of the 1Tb HDD’s (Seagate) failed, and I contacted SCAN again. They were insisting that I contact Seagate. It is still under warranty. This time I held fast and told them that as my contract is with them, it’s up to them to sort it out. After several emails, they eventually said that if I send it to them, they will return it to Seagate “on my behalf”. Obviously they expect me to wait for Seagate to comment/replace etc. Apparently; SCAN no longer sell Seagate gear. I think I’m right in saying that I have One contract – which is with SCAN. SCAN have TWO contracts. One with me and one with Seagate – and the two shouldn’t meet ? SCAN have received my original drive today, & found that it is indeed faulty. As my contract is with SCAN – shouldn’t they just replace the item,,,,, regardless of what they do with the returned one, and regardless of their contract with Seagate - & be pretty quick about it ? 2/ Separate issue: When a faulty item is returned under warranty, is it right that: i) any replacement is a refurbished item – not new, ii) any warranty on the replacement, is only as long as is left on the original ? thanks all. F
  6. Hi there, i have been on esa since nov 2012, my initial medical failed with only scoring 6 points, and i have appealed against this. However I have found a job of 30 hours which allows me the movement and sitting down that i regulary need. I now dont what happens next or if there is anything i can claim for returning to work. I was previoulsy employed for 18 years and have no idea about all this malarky. Looked on internet and dont seem to be getting anyway. Any advice would be truely grateful Louise P
  7. My father bought an item from a catalogue shop and when it arrived, on using it, it became faulty so he sent it back and they replaced. The second one was also faulty so he sent it back, but this time he requested a refund. Each time he paid out of his own pocket to send it back. Today on arrival at home, they have sent him another replacement instead of refunding his money. Please confirm that they are contravening the Distance Selling Regulations by getting him to pay for the return of the items and secondly not doing a refund when requested. I think that they are stating that the second item was past the 7 day period from when the first package arrived. I am going over to check the paperwork tomorrow. Just wish he would stop buying from these catalogue places that sell useless junk!
  8. Hi, I'd appreciate any help / advice I can get. I was reckless and pretty stupid as a student and got in some credit card debt and took out student loans - the last loan was in 1996. I left the UK in 2001, intent on having a year of adventure in Asia...now, 12 years later I am thinking of returning. When my bank found out I had left the counter, in 2001, they closed my account. I have also not been on the electoral register in that time. In the years that have passed, my parents received some letters from the student loans company and debt collectors, and being incredibly irresponsible, I just ignored everything. Last year i signed up for experian credit checking and I have a score of 749 and it states that there are no outstanding balances, the profile says my score is low as I am not on the electoral register and have no completed contracts...basically I think it means there is no information about me. When I go home, I will have to open an HSBC passport account, for people new to the UK...basically will debt collectors find me and come harrassing me at my parents' home? I also (now i think this was foolish) applied for a capital one secured credit card, as I thought that might be a way to build up some credit history... I later thought that maybe this will let DCAs know I am back... So basically, will I start getting letters about past debts, will I eventually be able to open a current account, and will I be able to rebuild a credit history? I am based in Northern Ireland (if that makes any difference) Thanks for any help you can offer and patience in reading this!!
  9. Hi there Im really glad I have found somewhere to seek some advice My partner has been employed full time on a 40 hour contract with a private coffee shop since November 2011 October 18th 2012 Unfortunately she fell from a horse in October last year fracturing her pelvis. She was signed off from work for a initial period of 6 weeks from October 18th 2012. Her employer was made aware of the accident on the day of the incident and later informed that she had been signed off for a minimum of 6 weeks She was kept in hospital for a week and advised that she would recieve a letter from the hospital within 6 weeks for an appointment to be re scanned and hopefully signed back to work. As the weeks past my partner recieved a few emails from her employer asking for updates on her condition and mentioning things like "You need to keep us informed of your progress as we have not heard from you and you arent keeping us up to date" etc etc etc Even though they were well aware that no progress could be reported until the 6 week scan had taken place...During the course of this incident she attended the doctors twice and reported back to her with the outcome and that her progress was going really well etc Just after the 6 week period elapsed leading up to christmas she had still not recieved any letter from the NHS with her appointment date? I kept telling her that she should have got in contact with them sooner as she hadnt recieved the appointment letter,Let alone the actual date of her re scan. She then contacted the hospital who gave her an appointment for around 4 weeks later! Which happened to be christmas eve. 5 weeks after the accident She feels completely fine,Has no pain,Is walking the dog for miles a day and in generally fine health. She sends her employer a email stating that she is feeling great and is looking forward to returning to work. Her employer replies in a rather negative tone stating that "We have taken on temporary staff in your absence as we did not know when you would be returning to work and we have to think about them...We cannot have you back until you are signed back to work from the hospital" etc Although this is more than likely true that her employer would not be able to take her back to work without the re scan being done and her being signed back to work due to insurance purposes,The emails she recieved were all written in a negative tone which made it sound like they didnt really want her back (Just that feeling you get) December 17th App. She emailed her employer again stating that she is feeling fine and will be returning to work after recieving her fit for note work on christmas eve and will drop it into work on her way back home. Her employer replied by saying "Do not drop the note in on christmas eve as we will be too busy.We will also need to arrange a welfare meeting before you return to work to so we can discuss how we proceed and what you can and cannot do with regards to work and duties,The meeting will be on January 9th please bring the fit for note work with you then" December 24th Me and my partner fell out and she stupidly sent an email to her employer stating that she is resigning and moving back to Scotland. Within a few hours she retracted her resignation by sending a text message to her employers personal mobile with no reply to either her resignation or her text message. Christmas Eve We attended the appointment at the hospital,She walked in and spent 10 minutes being examined by the consultant,No need for a scan and was told that she is fit to resume work with no restrictions. When we returned home my partner found a email from her boss which reads along the lines of "We are sorry to hear of your resignation,The standard procedure is to work your notice but we will over look this on this occasion,We also feel let down as we have been paying you sick pay during your time off from work" (Even though the goverment actually pay for statutory sick pay and claim it back from the goverment,It also confirmed my fears that they were never really interested in her returning to work by saying that she didnt need to work and notice and to basically go) I did some research online and found some advice which stated that if you withdraw your resignation before your employer formally accepts your letter of resignation then you can legally withdraw your request to leave and the employer must honor this. My partner walked down to her place of work and entered the premises to speak with her boss regarding the situation. When she walked in the door the shop was empty and her employer saw her and ducked down hiding behind the counter,Her husband (Joint owner) walked over and said "She will not be seeing you today,Come back in the new year" Apon returning home my partner drafted a text message to her employer and sent it to her stating that she will be seeking advice from ACAS after christmas as she had sent a message to her personal mobile stating her wish to withdraw her resignation and disregard the email that she had.Which she is within her right to do by law,Also the fact that she had attempted to come and speak with her regarding the issue to which her employer declined A few hours past to which my partner recieved an email from her employer stating that she had just noticed the text message on her phone (some 12 hours later) And that she had accepted her request to withdraw her resignation and to come in on January the 9th for the welfare meeting. Her employer does not seem the best at knowing what is required by law and doesnt really seem to know what she is doing with regard to rules and regulations contracts etc and apparently does alot of research online as to what the rules of being an employer are. I imagine she spent those hours researching online only to find out that we were in fact correct and back peddled to accepting her withdrawl. Since then her boss has been very rude to her on a few occasions when she has asked why her sick pay hasnt been paid in,On the last occasion she got the reply "We are in Spain with the family and we are closed hence why you havent been paid,You should know this!" So my partner had to go for 2 weeks without sick pay because her employer didnt pay it in or inform her that there would be a delay. Where we stand now My partner is going to attend the welfare meeting on January 9th although she is very hesistant to do so due to the awful atmosphere caused by all this mess. The people she worked with who were her so called friends no longer speak to her and I honestly do feel so sorry for her as she has done nothing wrong apart from fall off a horse and try and return to work...I have had to pay for her keep since the accident and we are really struggling financially and its hard to know which way to turn as we need her in employment asap but she is really worried about this meeting and the atmosphere as it may be unbearable Could you give us some advice on how to proceed? *I can provide exact emails from her employer if required Kindest Regards J
  10. Hi there Its been a while since I posted and I could do with some advice. My previous thread related to bullying/harrassment in and out of the work place by my husbands ex and her friend who both work in the same dept as me and him. They also involved my ex (who doesnt work there) whereby the 3 of them sent a 9 page email to all and sundry telling such lies that I had to call the police, who only dealt with him as he signed it. In my opinion the organisation let me down badly. There are too many events to mention here, but I was off work ill for 5 months and was in fear of my life as my ex is a nutter and had made threats throughout our relationship if I were to find any one else etc. I also received hate mail at home (whilst I was off ill), which looked to have been written on behalf of my husbands ex. As far as I am aware I am unsure as to how far this was investigated, I made a complaint to my head of department in March 2011, I have yet to have any outcome letter in writing. I went on maternity leave in February this year and honestly thought that with the passage of time I would be able to return to work without issue/fear. This is not the case, the thought of returning is making me ill, as bad as when this all started to happen. My husband is just about to change jobs, so I would not feel safe at all at work. These two women are the lowest of the low and as far as I can see, any sanction IF any was given has had no effect. When I returned to work last October, my husbands ex was constantly in my office on some pretext to talk to the men in there. I know exactly what she was doing and it was intimidating as I am a manager and she is not, therefore it would be me accused of bullying if I told her to leave the office and to call my colleagues rather than trotting in every 5 minutes. I did raise this with my manager at the time but was told nothing could be done and she could communicate in which way she pleased. I was frightened every time I had to go to the ladies, walk down a flight of stairs for fear of being pushed, the list goes on. I have come to realise that there is no way on earth I can see myself surviving going back there. Because of the OMP I am contracted to go back for 13 weeks minimum. 6 of these weeks are taken by annual leave, my question is if my GP certifies me ill for the remaining 7 weeks, will this be enough for me not to have to repay OMP as it is a large amount, which I do not have. I seem to be in a no win situation. I am a member of a union but no one will answer the question for me. I am in no way trying to defraud this organisation and have been trying to get another job for the same organisation but elsewhere as this would solve the problem. I am tired of worrying about it, I cannot even face walking on site. I am fit for work, but not there. I'd be grateful for any answers. Many thanks
  11. I have a laptop and tv from brighthouse, have had the laptop since April on a 2 year contract and its had problems since day 1 I have 2 weeks ago returned the laptop and said I no longer want it due to problems and affordability. Was told by manager that on this occasion they would accept the laptop back early (thanks even tho its worth £500 and I have paid over £300 already for a load of rubbish). The only clause is that I have to continue to pay the £10 a week whilst it is being repaired (unless it comes back and the repairer says its my fault then they want me to claim on my home insurance) yeah right! My question is its been nearly 3 weeks now and no word from service centre I have paid £30 so far (£10 a week for last 3 weeks) for it to sit in service centre and tomorrow they are expecting next weeks payment, should I still be paying for this even tho they are taking it back? Thanks in advance
  12. I purchased some goods over the internet in September, the retailer said that returns would be accepted within 30 days and collected at their expense. Three weeks later, I sent an email saying I wanted to return some of my order to be told that this was ok and they would let me know in the next few weeks when someone would be able to collect it. I enquired two weeks later to find out what was happening just to be told the same thing, so I waited another two weeks before phoning them up. Anyway after a lot of hassle they are now telling me that the order had been supplied by a 3rd party who is not willing to accept the return as it has been so long! Am I still within my rights to pursue this? I know about cancelling within 7 days, etc but by placing an order in which their T&Cs state that returns are accepted within 30 days, I believe I have formed a contract with them and they are breaching this. Can I take it further or am I wasting my time? Thanks for reading
  13. Hi I bought a bike for £100 on a website specialising in bikes. Everything was fine with the bike, until I used it, things started falling off, breaking, not working as they should. I have not contacted the seller as of yet, as I would like to get some info on where I stand first. On the website, it says "Any item can be returned to us for any reason provided it is returned unused with its original packaging and a valid receipt" I understand that (as I have used it, once) i am 'excluded' from this section above, but have I still got a right to refund? I am well within the 28 day period, as I only bought this bike 1st November. If any other info is needed I will be happy to provide. Thanks

  15. Hi All, I moved to UK last year and entered into an assured short term tenancy. My Rent was fixed at 1150 PM. I have paid a deposit of 1725 (six weeks rent) which was kept by the agent. Since I was new to the country therefore I was not aware of the TDS at the time of signing the rent contract. There is no mention of TDS in my rent agreement which I guess is mandaory. I have checked with all the three TDS provides and they have no record of my deposit with them. I have moved out of the property on Aug 4 2012 after 11 months giving due notice to my landlord. My land lord submitted a bill of 310 pounds towards cleaning, etc.. on Aug 16, 2012 which I agree to and have no dispute regarding it. While submitting the bill to the agent (via email) my land lord has clearly told that there are no unpaid rent and to release my deposit amount after deducting the cleaning charges and deposit the deducted amount to my land lords account. Since then both my land lord and me are trying to chase the agent but there is no response. I have talked on phone, emailed many times and even met the agent personally to sort out the issue but I am only getting excuses that she was out of the country or was un-well and even that she had transferred the amount to my account but somehow it failed. I have already sent mails that I will be taking legal action ( on Aug 31 and on Nov 3 ) but agent is just not ready to even acknowledge this. 1. I want to know what should I do ? 2. Can I go directly to court as I have already sent emails where I have mentioned that if I do not receive my money back by a date I will go to court (31 Aug)? 3. If I want to hire a lawyer .. will his cost be eligible to be paid by the agent ? 4. If my agent pays me the amount say within a week.. am I still eligible for compensation for failure to deposit in TDS? If yes then what is the process? 5. What are the chances of my winning the compensation if I chose to go to court and what will be the cost? 6. What is the normal duration of such court cases as if it takes quiet long to get judgments then it is not worth it? 7. Can I go to small claims court for compensation and return of the deposit amount as it will be more than 5000 pounds (1725 X 3) plus my deposit amount and interest and legal cost? Hope I have not asked my too many questions but as I am fairly new in UK I am not aware of my legal rights in such cases. Thanks for all the help. Thanks, RR
  16. Hi folks, first time posting, so thanks for looking, and any help or advice offered. To start, I purchased a vehicle on the 28.09.12 from Manchester. I live in Birmingham, I know, a treck! But what drew me up there was the advertised offer in the Auto Trader of a 'full 12 months parts and labour nationwide warranty'. I spoke to the car salesman asking the obvious beforehand; if the car broke down in Brum, do I have to return it to Manchester to get fixed? He highlighted the 'nationwide' part of the warranty, and said any garage nationwide was covered. So off I trotted up to Manchester, and purchased the car (Renault Laguna DCI, 53 plate). By 08.10.12, the gearbox was neigh on enusable, and I contacted the warranty people, who said the car did not have a valid warranty in my name. I figured it may have been due to the logbook changeover, but they said that a new warranty should have been purchased upon sale of the car, which never happened. They also said that the car did have a warranty attached, but that it was in a different name, and that their warranties are not transferrable either. Since the 8th, the car has also developed a major turbo fault, and now the drivers side wheel makes a terrible knocking noise when I turn the wheel. The dealer has tried every trick in the book to avoid me, even saying that he had purchased a new warranty, but when I rang the warranty people up, guess what? No new warranty in my name had been purchased. I have gone down the usual TS route, and sent the dealer a letter outlining my case as per TS advice, and given him until the 26.10.12 to refund me fully, to which so far, I have heard no reply. My questions are these- I want a refund, but as the car is unsafe to be driven back to Manchester, what are my rights with demanding he take responsibilty for the car, and return it to his garage, since as it broke down so soon? Do I have to return it to him to get my refund at my expense even though it stated 'nationwide' warranty on the now void warranty? And second, since as I have still heard no reply, and my family have a holiday booked for 26.10.12, which as it stands we cannot attend because of this, do we have any legal rights to demand that he pay for the cost of the holiday? Further, can he demand that I return the car to him to be fixed? Would not the failed warranty offer of nationwide cover be enough for me to refuse this offer for obvious reasons? Or can I, if he refuses to pay a refund, take the car to the local garage and get him to pay? The big problem is that the work needed is major, and is expected to run up above the £1,000 mark, which is money I simply do not have if I am expected to pay beforehand. Again, thanks for looking, and thanks for any and all help offered.

  18. I had a Freezer delivered last week and was advised to leave for 8 hours before switching on. I did this and its very loud. I have called Currys to say that under the cooling off 7 days I wish to return the item. They have told me that as the item has been powered on , they term it as having been "used" and as such they wont take it back. If we think its faulty then can send an engineer but if he cant find anything , they will charge us for that too. Really all I want is to send the item back. I have read all of the details on the web around distant selling and it doesnt mention items being "used" or whether currys can take this view on "used". Its not stated anywhere in their T&C's and even then I'm not sure whether they are accurate. I'm confused. Can I return this item as all I have done is turned it on.
  19. Hi I have a problem in returning an item which is faulty. I only purchased it on Saturday afternoon and have used it for a max of 10 minutes intermittently. The issue is not about getting a refund which Tesco has said (during 5 phone calls so far) I can have. (I paid by cash) The issue is that I am trying to find a way to return it that does not cost a load of money. Tesco will only pay for the item refund, but it is going to cost me a huge sum to return this because I am disabled and have to pay for a taxi there and back. I have tried to resolve this to the best I can, but Tesco are being very unhelpful. I have been put on hold during 4 of those phone calls for several minutes at a time and I have finally been left on a dead line and eventually hung up. What are my rights about the cost of having to travel to return this? I am disabled and cannot carry it as it stands. I budget for a taxi now and then to get to a large store. I do not have anyone to ferry me over 20 miles round journey, the small local store doesn't want to know and I'm stuck with an item that doesn't work.
  20. Evening everyone I'm having a bit of a to-do with a car parts company that appears to have little concept of the SOGA and DSRs. After looking at the various parts and panels they list on their website, I rang them to order up 2 body panels for my car. I asked for 2 particular panels at £75 per panel, and they said postage would be £15, so £165 all in. When they arrived I found they had sent the wrong panels- ones which, according to their website, cost £70 each. I rang them up to say they had sent the wrong ones, and they then tried to blame me, saying I had ordered the cheaper panels, so I would have to pay to have the wrong ones collected and the right ones sent back out- they duly helped themselves to a further £30 off my card for the privilege. The courier came the next morning and dropped off the right panels and took the wrong ones away. I then thought about checking the receipt they sent, and noticed it really did say £150 plus £15 delivery...so I hadn't made a mistake then! Except that when I emailed them to say this, they said no, you definitely ordered the cheaper panels and it was a concidence that a mistake had been made and I should actually have been charged £140 not £150 for the panels! I then decided to see how the panels would fit and found that they were actually badly made and would not fit (not without me having to weld on extra metal due to them being badly made and trimmed too small). So now I have the right parts, but they are in fact unfit for purpose. I then emailed the company back (so within 7 days of receiving the goods) to say they were not fit for purpose, that I wanted a full refund and that the parts would be available for collection from Monday (start of this week). In their reply to my cancellation email the company owner said that as I had ordered the wrong parts to start with I must pay for the return postage on these faulty parts, and that when they do get the parts back I will have a 'handling fee' taken off the refund too! It gets better- they have no T&Cs whatsoever on their website and the only sale documentation I received was the receipt from the pdq machine stapled onto a company headed piece of paper with a brief hand-written description of the order. Having given them instructions about refunding me and collecting the parts, how long do I have to keep hold of these parts for collection? They are in the garage, so out of the way, but I would really want to get shot of them and never deal with this company again! Should I also wait the full 30 days to see if they suddenly realise that SOGA and the DSRs do apply to them and they refund me the full £165, and the extra £30 they took...or am I in for yet more disappointment?!? Thanks for any replies.
