  1. 18 years ago I took out a loan to buy a tenancy for a pub. 16k loan plus 1k payment protection added to the loan. 90 months later all paid off, (35k) So if I had the paperwork, how much do they owe me? just a thought,
  2. Hi. I was stupid enough to take a loan with Minicredit a while back. It is now with their in-house dca OPOS. I borrowed £100 but apparently I now owe £975. I've been playing email tennis with them for a few months now. I told them I would only make payments to the original amount plus interest which comes to £245. They said they would accept this amount as a F+F if it was paid within 14 days. I couldn't to pay it all at once so they are insisting on having the lot. The rest of the amount is made up of £80 penalties, £100 debt recovery and £640 debit attempt fees! They charge £5 every time they attempt to take money from your bank account! As well as all this, I checked my credit file today and the default registered is for £440. Thanks for any advice.
  3. hi, i had a payday loan with minicredit and should have paid £117 a couple of weeks ago, they have added so far £25 and £55 for NOT paying, i can pay by 20th november, what should i pay? the £117 and the 1st default of £25? (£117 was for a £100 loan but 19.50 was taken out before i even got the £100) i have a couple of others too, one with wonga who are being a nightmare at the moment, but do i pay what i can each month, have the bank details for them, and pay only the original loan plus ?? how much? any further letters to send to help to get them to accept a payment plan would be much appreciated please, i dread to see how much more theyve added on, need to be a bit firmer with them i think but what do i say?
  4. Just wondering if their is any general limit to a debt before the creditor finds it worthy enough to issue a CCJ. I am now 26 but about 4-5 years ago i had mobile phones that went into default with differnt companys etc etc. I checked my online credit report with equifax a couple of days ago and it says my overall debt with everyone is £1837 and my highest debt to one creditor is £499. Seen as i have moved around living differnt palces for years its never really caught up with me and my credit report shows i have no CCJ's. At 26 and starting to settle down now, i would prefer to keep with no CCJ's. So was wondering if my kind of debt is not worth their time when creditors have people owing £10,000 + on one credit card, and also if there is a time limit where they just wont bother pursueing it anymore. Thanks Bongo
  5. I rent a field near very near Norwich for my horses, i have been asked by the owners if i wish to buy the field. It is agricultural land and is about 1 and a quarter acres. Can anyone give me any idea of what the fees for a solicitor might cost roughly to do this please?? One person said it could be £2000, they are selling the field for £6000 so another 2k on top seems a bit steep???? Any wise knowledge would be gratefully received, thank you. Sonja
  6. What is it about these people. I phoned them today to see if it would be possible to maybe pay less off my arrears this month. I normally pay £140 off per month (total arrears left is £600. You would have thought I had asked for their bank account pin number! First I was threatened with agreement cancellation, then a mortgage review inc credit check which I refused. "Well, we can't help you then" was their reply, "full payment and arrears or we go to court" So there we have it, nice friendly sympathetic folk that they are. All for £70 I hate to be like this, but I have prayed to God that they go bust and they ALL lose their jobs. Sorry, I know it's terrible but it isn't really a very nice way to earn money anyway is it?
