  1. Hi Guys. Natwest have caved in on the first letter!!!!! I started reading the standard bog off letter only to get to the last paragraph saying they are refunding the charges blah blah blah. Cant believe it. Anyone know how long it takes for them to put the money in your account. I would just like to say thanks to a great website, and helpful people. Wouldn't have got this far otherwise. Thanks for the advice. P.s Off to book a holiday now. devil dolly x p.p.s could a mod move this to won please.
  2. Hi Guys Just a quick note. If you look at Josamolly v natwest, someone on there has won with compounded contractual interest, and a few of us are trying at the moment. Good luck.
  3. Ok The 14 days are up tomorrow for the prelim. Should I send the next letter tomorrow or wait till friday. Getting bored of waiting now. I don't think Natwest can keep up with all the claims, and just aren't bothering to reply to letters anymore. Anyone else not heard anything.
  4. Ok Prelim sent on Monday. Hope for the best.
  5. Ok I have had my statements now and the total charges are £446. Thought it was going to be less than that actually. I have had a play with the interest calculators and am going in at the compounded contractual interest rate of 29.5%. Worth a try! Has anyone won with this interest. The total comes to just under £1000. I am claiming with regards to reciprocity of unarranged borrowing. I will definetely need help with this claim. Have read what feels like every post. About to send prelim letter requesting charges. Should I send a breakdown of charges just in case? Thanks
  6. Hi I too want to charge 29.5% But how are you working it out. I was thinking it was the amount of months or years at the respective 2.9% per month or 29.5% a year for the charge amount they borrowed and from when. ie £25 four years ago would be 29.5% of 25 x 4, added on to the charge total.????
  7. Hi guys Can anyone help. I have worked out that natwest owe me 446 quid in charges. I am about to work out the interest. I have been doing a bit of reading and am quite keen to claim back interest at NATWESTS contractual interst rate of 29.5% a year or 2.9% a month. It is worth a try. I know i cant claim this as well as 8% as the court, but one or the other will do. So, if I was charged £25 in dec 2002, this is 50 months or just over a year. 29.5% of 25 is 7.38. so in 4 years they will owe me 29.52 in interest for money they have borrowed from me. in addition to the £25, I could request £54.52. Or can I only charge them this for the month they borrowed the money. Does this make sense to anyone? I am angry:-x they have taken this money from me, and am going to play them at their own game. They want to charge me 29.5%, I will (try) and get this money back. Please help. Want to get the prelim letter sent away. thankyou.
  8. Hi I have had a look at the charges part of the website, and it says £5 for duplicate records. Would a request for all statements going back to 2002 be regarded as one lot of records, and therefore only £5. I have tried and was told £300 in total, ie £5 per statement!!!! Can you just phone the bank and request this info, or do you have to go in to a branch. Can they refuse. Lots of questions, greatful for any help. Thanks. x
  9. It is so annoying. I went into my bank today to see if I could get statements any other way. I was told it would be £5 a statement and i was looking at £300!!!!!!! Just told me to sit tight and wait for them, but it seems they are breaking the 40 day rule quite often.
  10. Hi Guys I still havent received my charges info. What is the number, or preferably email address of the person who will send them out. I am keen to get started on my claim, but till I have the info, I can't. Want to give Natwest a kick up the backside.
  11. Hi guys Sent off on 15th December. Should I count the sat and sun in the 40 days or ignore that and start from the following monday. About 3 weeks to go either way. Come on Natwest.......!
  12. Hi Guys I've sent off my cheque and letter to request my statements or list of charges. Whichever they send. I have only received 2 months worth so far. How frustrating!!! I just want to know how much these demons have taken off me so far. Can't wait to start the process. Will keep you posted.
