  1. I have won back all admin and late payment charges from two Littlewoods accounts, albeit it only cleared those amounts off my account - I did not suggest in Court that I wanted the cash. I lost my case for PPI refunds as the Judge ruled that this is how catalogues make their money, the rules are in the small print in the back of the catalogues, and if I did not read that, then ignorance is not a case for refunds. End of Story.
  2. I keep getting calls from them as well. They tell me that Lloyds want to refund £450 and I pay £49.99 to get this. I explained that Lloyds owe me £4500 and that I am unwilling to give any card details over the phone and if it is a valid offer then I suggest they put it in writing.
  3. I opened my account in 2002, and kept up most of my payments. I was told that I had to have insurance to order, so i agreed out of desperation. I never signed anything, and Littlewoods have never provided me with proof. I owe £1670 the equivalent of PPI charges. Littlewoods state that I agreed even though I was self-employed and they knew, and they could not cover me for redundancy. Apparently I increased my cover in 2005 agreeing to their cover, but I remember being told that as my order increased in value, I had to. In court, the judge had my Lloyds details in my Littlewoods file that I claimed for 2 years ago, and this frustrated him, then the spreadsheet did not ring true and he got fed up of me. He said that the case was statute barred even though the court had mistakenly grouped my Littlewoods cade with Lloyds, as I had applied for them both at the same time. He basically called me a liar and said that I should have checked the small print. I never had any. The Judge has seen me in court twice before and I feel that he thinks I am trying to [problem] my money back from everyone.
  4. Entered claim in 2007 - stayed, but now over £5k with interest, will there be a problem?
  5. Lost, but don't know why. Put my claim in, in 2007, just within 6 years of opening account - claim got staye for over a year, last week seen. Told be that it was statute barred because over 2 years, and does not believe me that Littlewoods misold me PPI, I was self employed and they claim that there would be assistance if I needed it, but when I called for it when losing money, they told me know - can I appeal.
  6. Hi, I became PGCE student this september. Claimed for childcare costs as I am single parent. Explained to LEA that could only find nanny ( who is registered with the NCMA, has CRB checks annually and public insurance), and they said not to worry, they will find her registered. They sent letter confirming all costs covered and paid £4k for 4 months. Got letter this week wanting money back because nanny is not registered with Ofsted, (this is not a legal requirement for a nanny). Afeter numerous conversations with them, they apologise for their misleading me, but tough I have to pay it back, so they are taking my students grants off me for the whole year, which will still leave me having to pay £1200 - for their fault. Any suggestions please.
  7. I think i have aproblem - I took Lloyds to court for loan and current account charges last year - and obviously it is still pending. What worries me is that although I won my money back on my credit card - I was given a month to explain why i was claiming ppi charges, which I am due back in court for in Nov.. This was because i did not clearly state on my cliam form that PPI was also being climed for. Now my original claim also does not state PPi, I just put down 'Charges'. Plus my claim is now over £5000. What should I do - I don't know whether to contact the court and explain and split the case - will this affect the whole outstanding claim??? Plus I have daily calls from QI trying to get money back and sending me letters saying Notice of Legal Proceedings - this is not a court document.
  8. Hi Folks, I have a query, I recently won charges back on one of my accounts, however the court have asked me to put the PPI charges through seperately. Littlewoods have said that my PPI agreement is older than 6 years, and therefore I am not allowed to claim. However, I apparently upgraded this a few years ago over the phone. ( not to my knowledge!!) I have explained that as I was self employed at the time, I should not have had to pay for PPI anyway - but I was told the usual, you have to it's part of buying items on credit? Where do I stand please?
  9. Went to court last month and Both parties agreed to a zero balance on my account - the Judge ordered that this be settled and put into place with in a month - however I now have a new debt collector chasing me for the money on the account and is now a month later - what should I do,please?
  10. Friend of mine has car on HP with Welcome, on looking at HPI on his vehicle, it showed that the car had been written off, and the insurance was paid out to the previous insurer. Is this legal?
  11. thank you - i shall have a look - what does bump mean?
  12. I claimed for £933.00 including PPI and interest which I still have a shot at. This was a new claim, I think I put in in feb this year. It was not stayed as it is acredit card claim. Hope that helps
  13. I need to work out the apr on lloyds credit cards so that I can calculate the interest to claim back against charges - any ideasplease.
  14. got 351.96 for charges - go back in sept for PPI charges & interest. Judge great. Barrister threatened that i would have to pay court costs if i pursued these and probably more-but havent i already won?
  15. I have a hearing today at 10.30, am ready & prepared as I'll ever be. Wish me Luck !!
  16. Two weeks ago a company called me called Timeshare Holdings, and told me that they have my Lloyds details and would like to offer me a 10k credit card - can they do that??
  17. I have a court date for end of July for Credit Card with Lloyds, and 14th Aug for Littlewoods & Alliane & Leicester. I still have outstanding Lloyds loan account and Littlewoods Another to come through. Let's see what happens.
  18. Got a letter from SCM marked 'Without Prejudice, Confidential & Priviledged', explaining to me because of these words I am not allowed to show this letter to anyone or reproduce it in Court! and that of the £956 I am claiming, they offer me £351.96. Now I am not sure that I would get much more in Court as I am claiming for interest charges, and I have stated that they are only at the level Lloyds charge me because of their other unfair charges. The repayment does not cover the court costs, as the offer is out of court settlement. Just thought it may be of interest to someone. I guess I shall just leave it in court because I have another claim with them for loand for £5k. All the claims are in court for the 29th July - do I have to attend, will I be called in soon thereafter? What sort of work should I be considering ?
  19. Asked the courts manager to refund my fees although over 6 months - obviously declined. Do you think it is worth me asking the judge to remove the stay as i am now on benefits or is it a waste of time:???:

    Court Fees

thank you, do you know if you can claim court fees back - i don't know why i had to pay them in the first place because i have never met the criteria to do so

    Court Fees

Hi, I paid for two cases last year which are stayed, now I am unemployed, can I try to ask for the court to overide the stay due to my financially difiicult situation - single parent too! Can I also go ahead with new cases and get financial help
  22. Hi, my court case was stayed until feb 28th, and I have left it at that, should I be doing something else? I don't understand that cases can be struck out - why is this? I have read as much as possible - but the more I read - the more confused i get?
  23. Has anyone ever taken on credit card charges to court??
  24. Good Morning, Both my Claims Cases have been delayed until the 28th February according to the letters I recieved from Huddersfield County Court. I was unaware of the date being any sooner - it is best to think that you may get a decision by the end of this year - whether that be in your favour or not. That way, you become less dependant on a windfall. I was relooking at the info from this valuable site, and I picked out the point that it is best to continue to keep dialogues open with those you are claiming from. They will more often than not ignore you, but when the case does come to Court, the Judge can see that you have tried, and the banks have ignored. Another brownie point for you. That's my intention today, is to up date my letters to the banks, offering them a pay now and save court costs and valuable court time. I am also writing to Littlewoods to ask them to provide written proof that I agreed to their insurances, as I deny this, and they continued to deny that I could cancel it. KEEP THE FAITH - THE BRITISH JUDICIAL SYSTEM IS THERE TO SUPPORT US - RIGHT????
