  1. Hi DX & BF, Mine was only for a £8.50 item that in the end I just swallowed the lose as wasn't worth my time to take it further. Before Packlink they use to use Shuttle if I remember right and they were easy to work with and never made you jump through stupid hoops like this lot. I just feel that if enough people complain about them perhaps TS will look into it.
  2. Hi everyone, As a long time ebay seller and have had trouble with Packline like quite a few others on here, I had a item get damaged and tried to claim this is what I had back that they need: 1. the item is photographed before packing including a photo ot the address. 2. The package is photographed before sending. 3. The package is photographed upon arrival by the recipient. 4. The contents is photographed upon opening. 5. The packaging kept until PackLink decides it can be disposed of. 6. Photographs 3 & 4 should be emailed back to the sender (me) 7. Damaged items should be kept by the recipient until PackLink decides if you can throw it away (this could be several weeks). Surely this is an instance of unfair terms and conditions. I know trading standards etc won't do anything after one report but if everyone who have a problem did hopefully they would have to do something or because they are based in Spain these rules don't apply to them.
  3. I am going their tomorrow afternoon and will let you know what I have found.
  4. After a bit of advice, a friend of ours has asked me to look at their computer as they think their neighbour has been spying on her via the Remote Desktop option. The neighbour asked to use her computer a little while ago as theirs was being repaired etc and ever since funny things have been happening. If I go and find they have installed something to keep tabs on her is this a criminal offence and should I advise her to report it?
  5. As you would of returned them as 'not as described' though eBay the seller would be charged for the postage label so he would need to claim if they don't arrive so you would need to speak to them.
  6. I did read it and put that you would need to claim via the Royal Mail Portal as they have a part on there for return parcels. But you have until next Wednesday which is plenty of time for you parcel to arrive. And I was not wrong what I put is on their website and you can go and check if you wish
  7. There is no need to be rude, just trying to help. It would be drop off at your local sorting office then sent on to different one. If you know all the rules why are you coming on here for advice? Royal Mail web site: "Compensation Arrangements Compensation for loss will not be considered for an item that Royal Mail has not delivered or attempted to deliver until after 10 working days for items other than Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm® (not posted on account), or 5 working days for Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm® (not posted on account) have elapsed from the due date of delivery, unless there is evidence to the contrary to demonstrate that the item has not been lost. Where an item is safely delivered after the 10 working days or 5 working days in the case of Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed®) the customer will be entitled to claim compensation for delay but not for loss."
  8. Yes I did notice and different time of posting and would probably be different sorting office it would be going to. RM don't class a parcel lost until 10 working days, then you can send all the details into them via their online portal
  9. At the moment Royal Mail are having serious problems with staff getting 'Pinged' and a long with holidays, this is causing a massive backlog and hopefully in the next couple of days with the new rules things will start moving along with your parcel.
  10. Today received the Letter of Claim - 30 Days to prevent legal action is this the PAPLOC to respond to via your letter?
  11. Hi Stu, not had anything back from the HA at all apart from a generic reply saying they will look into it. I have some spare time next week so might just give them a visit and try and get some answers
  12. Lowell have now passed it over to Overdales Solicitors and had a Notice of Acting letter arrive to today, is this safe to ignore?
  13. Thank you Stu, After speaking to some more residents here, there are only 9 in the cul de sac a couple of them have had trouble with loose tiles on their properties as well as loads of other problems to the houses and surroundings. I am trying to get them to all complain at once and get the housing manager out to go through the problems. One resident hasn't had any lighting upstairs for over a year because of a leaking roof
  14. Hi, as the title suggest I rent a house from Town & Country Housing and being off grid we do not have a gas supply so the only heating is via expensive storage heaters. At the moment there are loads of government grants for Private landlords and home owners to get funding for better heating or LPG but none for HA unless you are on benefits, this seems so unfair, does anyone know of any other grants that would help?
  15. Thanks Stu 007. When all they details are sent through I will have a good read through. No the shed is one of those plastic storage ones about the size of a big wardrobe that you can move anywhere.
  16. Did you take an insurance or warranties out as this will change the figure. The 50% figure would be for the car minus any part ex or deposit paid. If you payments each month would be £200 as example with insurances you might only be paying £160 off the car and £40 off the add on's. Have they sent you a breakdown of the figures?
  17. I have VT'd a car a couple of time before. The figure your are liable is 50% of the car. The payments towards this includes any deposit - part exchange you laid down at the time of purchase. But the 50% would not cover and warranty, gap insurance etc that was taken out. They must of given you a breakdown of all the cost etc. DX is brilliant with advice on them
  18. Thanks BF, Yes it's the Housing Association responsibility. At the moment I am already raising a complaint about a repair that hasn't been done so another one won't bother me
  19. Hi, I rent a property from Town & Country Housing and yesterday a roof tile fell from our roof and damage our plastic shed. T&C Supply us with a house insurance policy but after speaking to them they don't cover sheds and out buildings. The roof is beyond being able to be repaired due to the damage from the tile so I am a bit miffed that I have now got to replace the shed myself. Is there anything I can do? Thanks JJ
  20. Well I would rather pay the £10 and get the item back so you can get the refund and fight the seller for the £10 later than have the case close and get stuck with a faulty item, and then have to fight other methods of getting my money back.
  21. Have you put all this in the eBay messaging part of the open case? It does seem that the seller it trying to get the case to time out for the sake of say £10 I would pack the ladder up and send it back via a courier, you would then upload the tracking details and it you will get the refund that you want when it arrives.
