  1. I have the start date and also my avg monthly ppi payments, I hope added all and divided by 72? Do I do the same with the interest rates and average them out? I have three different figures. Other than that I am good to go, I think I'd just like to say Thanks dx for steering me through, you've been a great help
  2. Cheers Dx I only have a rough idea of when the card started. The agreement they sent is a standard print off with a rate higher than when the card started, no dates etc. Would it be ok to just go back within a certain time frame I know to be safe?
  3. Just a quick question if I can. I did a quick search but couldnt find what I need I received my statements etc, but they only go back 6 years. Is that the norm or should they go back further?
  4. I had a similar thing with citi. They ignore everything until you provide the info they require, including the original SAR and any lba. You will have to start again. The upside is they were pretty quick the second time around
  5. Cheers for that dx Do you think the reason for "currently progressing through our system" from Royal Mail is because its a PO Box and so no signature? I've looked for a different address to send to but having no luck.
  6. A little update and I'm also after some guidance if possible I sent the SAR request and received no reply other than a request for proof of I.D ( passport and utility bill ) a couple of days later. Something didn't match on the account. Other than that, no reply whatsoever. I sent the failed SAR letter 3 weeks ago, and again, a total disregard and have heard nothing. So after reading on the forum I gather my next stage would be a 7 day LBA. However, the wonderful Royal Mail can only tell me that the letters that have been sent are "Currently progressing through our system" So I have no proof of signature or delivery. Also, the icing on the cake being the Postal Order details have been misplaced, insert stupid b***h somewhere about now I spotted this post http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?358157-Halifax-WANT-my-signature(1-Viewing)-nbsp are they trying to stall the SAR and do I need to start again? Cheers Mick
  7. Hi I have a couple of questions regarding a credit card. The card started out with The Associates, then I think Citi, and now Opus. If I was to dig in to the possibility of being mis-sold PPI, well I'm pretty certain I have been mis-sold, but which one should I be looking at to claim. The Opus card is still open. I've already sent a CCA request to Opus, and received a true copy lacking signatures or original agreement, regulation 3 etc. Is it Opus I should be dealing with or The Associates? Also whenever the card transferred to a new lender they automatically applied PPI, I was never contacted or asked if I would like PPI. Would that be classed as mis-sold? Regards Mick
  8. Hi Calculator Your posts are very helpful in this forum and make things a whole lot clearer for those of us who are struggling with this, as many others of course I have a little question regarding the lay representative and writing to the court. Do I write to the courts first and wait to hear back from them before sending my cmi sheet or is it possible to send my request along with the cmi sheet? Regards Mick
  9. A little update on this, and a little question After not hearing anything for a while my case was switched from pontefract to leeds and then again to leeds mercantile on the 28th June, I gather this is a good thing or I hope so anyway. Am I right in thinking that I only need to send a cmi sheet at least 7 days before? Regards Mick
  10. A little update and a couple of more questions, be a shame not to Received yb's AQ today and also an offer from them "Without Prejudice save as to costs" for £1820 including Court costs, no cheque but a notice of discontinuance. Do I write back rejecting this offer or just let the court proceedings continue while ignoring the letter? Also in saffyuks thread she mentions that her statements/schedule of charges weren't attached when she filed her claim, neither did I and I also did not include them with my AQ. Do I need to send a letter to my local court as Michael's reply to saffy with my schedule of charges? Regards Mick
  11. ooh thats correct sarah, so all fine and dandy. I was unsure and it kept niggling me so I thought I would ask thanks alot Regards Mick
  12. Just a little update on this and a little question too I have now recieved my allocation questionnaire and ready to take it from there but, I have a little question that's been niggling me since I started the money claim online and think I may have made a mistake. How important is only going back 6 years on your claim? My claim is within a 6 year period, ie first and last charge claimed but the start date of the mcol is over the 6 years. The first charge claimed is dated 30/11/00 and I started the claim online in January 07, is this important and have I made a mistake?
  13. thanks caro and jules for explaining things for me Using the spreadsheets the interest comes in at £476 and I dont really see a conclusion before xmas so holding out for the full amount seems the way forward, there is no hurry
  14. Hi Jules I may be being pretty dumb here but after reading your reply above, I notice in the bank templates library both the prelim and lba mention interest and your comment as me confused, maybe I'm just a confused kind of guy So do we take out the mention of interest in the letters? Or am I way off the mark here, sorry for the stupid question Sorry for hijacking your thread stycks
  15. Hi PJ Thanks for the reply I havent actually totaled the debit interest but I will and see what the amounts are and then look further into it, I did my scratch my head while reading the JMio thread Thanks alot Regards Mick
  16. Hi Everyone Fantastic forum, lots of helpful people and great info I am doing this on behalf of my mum who the bank have fleeced over the years, and I want the old dear to have the cash back. I already have the statements for the past 6 years and after a quick run through the sums are around 2.3k, however I am unsure of which charges to actually include. I have had a good mooch round the forum and still not 100%, so if someone could give a little helping hand that would be great. In the statements the names of the charges are as follows Unauth O/D Fee Debit Under Advice Unpaid Loan Charge Unpaid Chq Chg Unpaid DD Charge Charges Debit Interest I am a little stumped on if I claim on the ones labeled "charges" and "debit interest" In the step by step it doesnt really make reference to those two but, from reading the threads and mention of JMio's and reading that I gather I do include those two charges. Am I right in thinking this? Any input greatly appreciated
