  1. thanks guys for the info no idea...but my issue is with natwest and halifax?
  2. first of all, i looked at the oft update thread at it had 1000 posts so there is no way i am reading through all that!!! so i thought i'd ask directly. Basically i wrote preliminary letters a couple of months ago asking for my bank charges to be refunded and got the same old letter in return (something about the test case going through court so they will address the complaint later). Now i've noticed that the test case has been decided for the oft, does that mean i can submit my claim to court (i didnt want to put £30 into the system and wait months for a ruling) or will it still be some time before i can get my cash back? Also i noticed the banks are going to appeal the decision? Why cant they just admit they are wrong...
  3. so in a nutshell whats the latest on this bank charges test case? i have a claim but i dont want to submit it the small claims because i'd rather keep the £30 quid for the time being...
  4. I am writing to ask someones advice regarding interest on sainsburys credit card. Normally once i receive the monthly bill i pay the full amount on time each month online. The total bill was around £700 and when i went online to pay the bill but for some reason i misread the total amount and underpaid by about £3. I paid for arguments sake £697 ontime and forgot about the extra £3 Next month i received the bill which included a £13 interest amount. I rang Sainsburys Bank up and they said that if i you do not pay the full balance then you are charged interest on the full amount, regardless of how much you pay back ontime. This cant be true surely. I thought that you are charged interest on any outstanding balance?
  5. cheers Macedonian for the info. You should put that info in a sticky or something to stop people trawling through the discussion!!
  6. so in a nutshell what is the latest news on this thing? i have two claims and the banks say they are waiting on the result of the test case...
  7. hi everyone, i am new to this game and as you may be aware this is my first thread. to cut to the chase i filled out an online claim for nearly £2000 in bank charges (NatWest) using the moneyclaim website and paid my £120 court fee. however i have now recieved my N149 Allocation Questionaire and i am a bit confused as to why the court wants me to pay another £100 in court fees when i initially paid the £120 online. the claim was moved from northampton county court to my local one...
