  1. Good luck everyone, just got my SAR bundle back from Co-op visa today, going to have to trawl through with the highlighter now. Steve
  2. Can't help you, but would love a copy of the letter you sent them so I can do the same to a dca that is bugging me. Cheers #Steve
  3. Latest update, got the court papers this week. Saying that the papers would be deemed served on Saturday, however, Thursday sees the defence and AQ drop on the doormat. So it is up to that stage, here's hoping for a speedy outcome...
  4. Jeez, is it that long since I posted on here!! I have been lurking but not posted for a while coz sooooo busy. I have now had the offer, refused the amount and accepted as part payment. They refused me, so I applied to court, got my papers on Tuesday, will be deemed served on the 6th, so here's hoping. Found the court application reasonable easy in the end, and now that I have done this, watch out other banks. Thanks for all your help everybody. Steve
  5. Oh Jos, the interest figure?? Did you put the figure as calculated on the spreadsheet at the date you filed, or just put that you are claiming 8% interest of the total amount claimed? And did you put that figure in the boxes at the bottom of the form, or is that for the courts to fill in??? Ta
  6. Jos, many thanks, I already have that, it is the initial brief details to put on the front of the N1 claim form - soz for this but I waiting to send off and this is holding me up. Steve
  7. I am at the same stage and been searching this forum for the details too. Any help would be appreciated as to what need to be written in the brief details. Many thanks Steve
  8. I just about to file my claim tomorrow in Liverpool. I hope I get some good news from this early next year. They owe me 1375, not including any interest accrued. This bank has made my life a misery down the years. I am having to pursue other banks because of the mess THEY made of my accounts and bad advice received from their incompetent staff. I hope everyone scores a win over these buffoons.
  9. I loathe every one of them. Go for it, screw them to the floor, they deserve everything coming to them. Good luck!!
  10. Email sent - synopsis - ombudsman is toothless and government cow tows to the banks. To think I could have been interviewed by Sky News this week too!!
  11. OK, received the standard rebuttal letter for their goodwill payment. Full of the usual - bank's position etc.... So, now I have to file my claim. Do people on working tax credit have to pay the court costs? And do I have to file the claim in person? Any help/assistance on this stage would be great because I want to nail this bank once and for all. I really do feel like phoning them up, but it is a waste of time I feel, and I know I would blow my top.
  12. It is RMA in Preston, and if not mistaken, just may be an offshoot of Barclays?? Thanks Spotted Dog, realised that soon as I posted and couldn't edit it out!!
  13. Sorry for my ignorance Shaz but what is the DCA??? Steve
  14. Hi all, managed to stop myself jumping around with joy when I saw this site. I utterly despise Barclays and all the damage they have done to me down the years, Now it is my chance to bite back. Contacted them, got the usual tattle. Called Indian call centre, managed to get my statements sent through for nothing when I argued the toss. Totted up all the charges over the last 6 years (the account has been closed for 2 years and they sold off the debt to a collection agency, do I have a case with that too???) - came to £1375. Sent off the letter and spreadsheet, got a delaying letter. Another letter and received 50% offer. Now sent off the letter declining this offer but accepting it in part payment of full amount. Requested a cheque as my account with them is closed. Anybody know where I stand with this sold on debt? Would be interested to know your replies... Thanks Steve
  15. Goodwill payment gesture - 50% of claim. Carole Mounsey Customer relations manager Head Office Customer RElations 020 7116 7563
  16. I agree, that would totally rock and I would have to pee my pants at the irony of it all!!!
  17. Just about to send off my SAR to the Skelmersdale address. It is quite encouraging to see that they are settling reasonably quickly.
  18. thanks michelle, see you not too far from me on t'other side of water Let me know how u go on, interested to know. It is despicable the way banks treat you willy nilly, and just expect you to accept their blunders with a pinch of salt. Cheers Steve
  19. Thanks very much Shaz, just wot we wanted to hear
  20. My wife had a business account with Barclays, and has been getting pestered to clear the debt. However, I was sent a letter outlining how much was owed. I had nothing to do with that account, it was private, yet I was included on the mailing list because I had a current account with Barclays. They had been told on a few occasions that I had nothing to do with that account and that it was private, so how come I was sent this letter? If I was a nasty person, which I am not, I may just have caused a riot with the wife about getting in to debt and may even have ended up divorced. Have we got a relevant claim over disclosure under the Data Protection Act?? I want to make this bank squirm because of the trouble they have caused me and my family over they years. Already got a reply to my initial letter over a claim of £1300+, now after Barclaycard and the business account. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve
  21. Which address do you use for co-op visa, they must owm me thousands by now!! Help please via pm or on here. Thanks in advance Steve
  22. Up to the highlighter stage, nice green one!! I really riled by Barclays over the years and pursuing this action with a vengeance, not just personal accounts but business accounts been shafted over too. Also messed me up with other banksl. Good luck everyone.
