Power lead question
sea-sidelady replied to sea-sidelady's topic in Technical Computer/IT/Console/SatNav Questions
I had some one take a look, and they took a look on ebay for me and gave me a link for a new one. So hopefully that will arrive soon and problem solved. -
Power lead question
sea-sidelady replied to sea-sidelady's topic in Technical Computer/IT/Console/SatNav Questions
I did that, and can get one from Amazon for £15, and one shop local was selling for over £60! 'why I wondered if any Toshiba lead would fit -
My mates power lead has died. And no one round here seems to sell them. Does anyone know if ANY Toshiba leads will work for the laptop, or are they specific to each one?

That is really good. My daughter is CP mad!! Has been playing it for almost 3 years. -
No need, they will soon let you know when it comes back. So carry on as you were doing.

I have altered the link and provided a more appropriate letter for you to use. That should do the trick and it will be sent back to Style. Also they can keep adding charges on, but just make sure you add them all on to your spread sheet.

Here you go, send this to the DCA. They can't pass on your account while in dispute http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/content.php?418-Letter-when-bank-DCA-attempt-to-collect-on-penalty-charge-situation

additions direct - reclaiming catalogues charges plz help
sea-sidelady replied to clarealex's topic in Mail order catalogues
Hi clarealex, Once you have paid the £10 fee for you information, they have to send you all your information. Here is a link to the letter you need to send. You have a couple of choices, weather it has been 40 days or not, but they are very easy to understand. Once you send that they have 7 days to return all the information you want. It is also worth sending this one recorded delivery so you can make sure it gets there. http://www.consumerwiki.co.uk/index.php/Data_Protection_Act:_Non-Compliance As for receiving some one else's information, I'm just double checking the best way of dealing with it, and I will get back to you. -
Is it faulty?

Kaleidoscope catalogue **WON RETURN OF CHARGES**
sea-sidelady replied to Dotty50's topic in Mail order catalogues
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Sorry this thread managed to get looked over, how far did you get before they paid? -
As long as they have a full licence, they can be on the insurance as long as the other driver is over 21.

Help needed regards shop direct home visit
sea-sidelady replied to scarborosmoggy's topic in Mail order catalogues
Please don't worry too much about this, like it has been mentioned before they do need your permission to call to your home. Reading the letter they sent, it sounds more like a customer relation call rather than an intimidating call. As you say you have never been in debt or fallen behind with payments. In fact you seem to be the opposite! I am sure this being the case they will respect your wishes not to call. I'm guessing nothing has happened yet. A simple letter stating you do not accept home visits, and you will only have contact through letters in the future should be enough. If not then we can send a stronger letter. -
Sorry it has been a while for my response. My time on CAG has been a bit limited recently due to family commitments. If you believe you have all the charges listed, then you need to get them onto a spread sheet and get the ball rolling. Send them with your prelim letter. Are you still having a problem seeing the library? You can send a complaint to head office detailing your complaint. If you get no response you can always complain to the OFT Sorry, it had filled up due to my absence. Do you have your own thread laalinz? If not it is always a good idea to have one, even if it is just to keep a time line on your claim.
-
If it is an incomplete pile you have received, then you need to get everything. Have you got all your statements included? If not you need to send the non compliance letter in the library.

Thanks for the reply. The vet has reassured us that she can live a happy pain free life with three legs. She will be called a "tripod" (seriously!!) I think I just need to hear that she will manage, especially from other "tripod" owners

We have a little Westie, who is 4. She has a fatty tumour in her back leg/hip. She has had to get this removed 3 times now, and each time her muscle gets worse as the lump runs through it, along with a nerve. They can never get all the lump because of this, and so it keeps growing back. She had the last op about 4 weeks ago, and we were told she will need the leg amputating if she doesn't get better this time. She isn't using the leg hardly now, and seems to be really unhappy. I dread the thought of her having it removed, but if it is that or put to sleep then there is no option. She will have to lose the leg. Does anyone have any experience of dealing with this?? I would really appriciate any advice

reclaiming catalogues charges plz help
sea-sidelady replied to playgirlbunny's topic in Mail order catalogues
I already gave you the link to the letter last week. Have they cashed the £10 you sent? -
It isn't often they do respond at this stage. Looks like thy are going to make you go further. Not a problem. This is where you can get your 8% added on and reclaim your £10 sar fee. Have a read through the step by step guide on the court stages, once you have done that you will have a good idea what you need to do. Any questions, please ask, as at this stage any mistakes can be costly.

Just a couple of questions..... Did you send the prelim first? Did you enclose a spread sheet? Have they responded at all or have you proof they have received your letters?

reclaiming catalogues charges plz help
sea-sidelady replied to playgirlbunny's topic in Mail order catalogues
The 8% is what you can claim once you file at court. You don't need it just yet. You won't be able to claim the interest charges, but as long as you know you (might) have to remove them, well it can't do any harm. If they have'nt sent everything you have asked for, you need to send another letter. I will add the link for it below. They have 7 days to respond to this one and they HAVE to send you everything you have asked for as long as you have sent the £10 fee which you did. They can do this as a delay tactic, but once they get this next letter they will know you are not messing around. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/resources/templates-library/48-bank-templates/129-data-protection-act-non-compliance-template-letters- -
Ace account, can I reclaim the charges ?
sea-sidelady replied to tez1984's topic in Mail order catalogues
All the letters you will need arein the link I gave you. Once you get your statements, you will need to work out your total of charges, then you send a Prelim letter, wait 14 days then send the LBA letter, but we can help you with each step. The best advice to do at the moment while you are waiting is to read as much as you can, so you can see how others are doing and you have a good idea what to expect.
