  1. The company who sent my neighbours those letters is actually trading as another Debt collection Agency P&JCDS - Premier Debt Collection Services in the UK and Internationally Their website say they are members of the CSA ( Credit Services Associations ) and the Office of Fair Trading... indeed.. their consumer credit licence was issued by the Office of Fair Trading !!! They are actually in breach of the Credit Services guidelines: Section G http://www.pjcds.co.uk/CSACodeofPractice.pdf And they are also a registered Data Controller - but they are harassing me under the name Kathy Fraser... So shall I complain to all of those departments quoting their own guff right back at them? And sending them the letters?
  2. These letters are dated the 8th May - all this information has only been issued on the 15th May hasn't it? So it was acceptable before this?
  3. No never signed anything. They have passed my debt onto three different companies now, the last one said they would take me to Court and they never have. I did mention this on my own thread - should I take them to court myself now? And does anyone have some good POC examples? Sorry if that is cheeky.
  4. Well they are trying it on if they think they can hold you to that Anyone could have ordered and used that card!!
  5. Yes a lovely generic set of Terms and Conditions relating to a different year.. the Terms and Conditions now I think Nothing with a signature!
  6. Yes it is valid but only after December 2004 - if my memory is correct. What year was your CCA. It is called a digital signature.
  7. Here is what two different neighbours received... and also I am fuming as they say I am a Miss!!! For all I know my neighbours could think I am pretending to be married!!! So from this my neighbours could presume anything... I am so mad! I have told the ICO this but nothing will be done. These companies get away with murder. All these companies who say they are ethical and fair, give to charities... support people... blah... they pass debts on to unscrupulous companies who harass people into their graves, in some cases!
  8. That's interesting. They don't have a CCA to enforce. That is my case.
  9. Many thanks, I willl be sure to write out a detailed complaint about this issue. It really has shocked me.
  10. OFT told me to contact the ICO 8) I think I might write to the MP though... they have always been pretty good on issues I have contacted them about.
  11. subscribing. although i was just about to see if it was worth issuing a claim about the enforceabilty of an agreement.. but I am in Cheshire!
  12. A DCA has written to both of my neighbours on either side. I am in the process of complaining to the Information Commissioner our of upset and sheer frustration. It is very wrong. Now both my neighbours know I owe money and they also know my full name.
  13. OK well after they sent me a letter threatening court action, nothing! I feel like I am at stalemate with them. I would really love to initiate court action in response to their letter. Would this be seen unfavourably ?
  14. Unfortunately, liquid ingress does ruin phones and is not covered by your warranty. Not what you want to hear, but now it is out of warranty anyway, you can take it to any mobile repair shop situated in plenty of towns... they usually repair phones that have been damaged like this They are not usually beyond repair, but the manufacturers dont have to do it 'free' for you.
  15. Many thanks That looks great!!! Will have to buy one - my second set of neighbours have posted a similar letter through my door. Surely this is harassment????
  16. Oooooh no I don't but how can I get it???? I would LOVE to get the slimy rats like this
  17. Thanks for all your suggestions. I will sort this out tonight, I doubt I will get anywhere but I am furious and very upset about this. Not got the letter to hand now, I am in work. But I am sure that there was just a PO Box address and nothing else. I hope I kept the original letter too. I am in the mood for writing some letters now
  18. Clemma I have absolutely no idea but I am only aware of three debts which are being dealt with. I have cleaned up my credit file tremendously. All I can think is this is a very old debt, or a new debt which has passed to someone else without my knowledge. in which case, surely they would have to tell me? I have a right to be told why I am being contacted, and not obscure letters - and I do recall they sent me one a while ago which was quite disturbing in its wording and said nothing about any debts. Why not play fair?
  19. Well this complaint is going to start it all up again now isn't it
  20. The OFT didn't want to know. They referred me to the ICO. Woman at ICO asked me to read her the letter and told me to file a complaint with them as she thinks its breach of Data Protection. So next step is to send the DCA a complaint, asking them why they are sharing my personal information with my neighbours and breaching my Data... and she said I am to forward this complaint to the ICO too. It doesnt help that my neighbours now know my busines. i wonder if next door got one too!
  21. They have given my neighbour two bits of information about me, from their letter. 1. I owe them money 2. My full name
  22. They are chasing an old debt, I have had no dealings with them before and it is only recently they sent me a letter demanding I urgently contact them. Their letters are quite bare, just states K FRASER ASSOCIATES with a PO Box address on the top. A google search told me it was a DCA.
  23. I could just cry right now, I also found this article which states it is OK as long as no personal details have been given out about me. Is my name not personal to me??? Dear Occupier, pay up now - even if this debt is nothing to do with you | Money | The Observer The OFT said there is no rule about this. The ICO have me on hold and have not yet got through to an advisor.
  24. My lovely old neighbour just placed a letter through my door. It is addressed to him about ME. It tells him they are trying to get in touch with me, and gives him a self addressed envelope urging him to send them any information about me.. such as forwarding address. It is a DCA but I dont know what the debt is. I am also deeply embarassed by this, a quick google of the details would say it is a DCA. Am I just to accept this?
  25. No. I only ever got threats It was passed back from Moorcroft to Next.. and then this.
