  1. Standard practice i'm afraid.. all outgoings are done just after midnight, so you have no chance of getting the money in on time.. have a read of the FAQ's on the site and start a claim. you will get the charges back.. FAQ’s http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ Jos
  2. Halifax i take it? They do it to scare you, and are doing agood job by the looks of it.. have a read of the successes in the Halifax forum and you will see that you are very close to getting paid out.. Jos
  3. Hi Abo.. welcome to my world..lol... I agree.. i have had nothing at all about this. I called yesterday and the court said the Judge still has it... I have decided to wait a bit to see what the judge comes up with rather than apply for it to be struck out..
  4. That is a fair point but that i'm sure that this all would have exploded anyway with people like Dave, BF and Stephen at the forefront..
  5. The OFT is the tool they use to drag things out as long as is possible. In my own industry (Newspapers) there has been an ongoing enquiry for over 4 years... This is something the government could have sorted a long time ago, and in fact probably knew all along that one day this would get out..
  6. Yep definitely.. I have posted the defence i recieved on my thread, have a look and see if yours is the same.. If you need a copy of how i reponded i'll PM it to you... Jos
  7. I don't think the government will do anything about it to behonest. They are staying well out of the way considering how long it has been going on for... To much corporation tax to lose me thinks... or is that just me being cynical...
  8. yeah they could be i suppose...Thinking of writing to the judge asking for it to be struck out to be honest.. if NW can't be bothered to enter the AQ, even tho they are 10 days late, surely i am within my right to start pushing a bit... I have been patience personified...
  9. Rang the court today.. case is still with the judge, he has to decide what to do with it apparently as Cobbets still haven't filed an AQ... So i'm still none the bloody wiser...LOL
  10. Sif.. have a look in the mortgage section... at first there was a possibility of getting these back, and some have. However, ther have also been some losses with heavy costs awarded against.. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/mortgage-companies/
  11. Hey lilac.... it is a bit scary but once you have taken them as far as they dare go you will feel a great deal of satisfaction.. have a read around..
  12. if the GWG is for the full amount of charges i would say no... If you still have anything outstanding and have not gonr to court as yet then yes, you can add them to your claim.. JOS
  13. I faxed cobbets last week, 3 times... and the fax reciept said it was ok... 0845 4042414

  17. Hi Pompey.. Firstly, don't ever think your being a pain.. thats what the site is here for.. I never bothered with the interest.. In worked it out as best i could but then decided that it wasn't worth it.. I used the somple spreadsheet and just claimed the 8% interest at the court stage with the Halifax. Don't forget to start a thread in your banks forum, the guys and gals will then be able to help.. Jos
  18. Hi and welcome to the forum. The process that you will follow is relatively easy but IS NOT a get rich quick scheme. Spend time reading the FAQ pages as this will stop you making mistakes along the way, and is the most important part. Read as many threads as your eyes will allow, you will gain invaluable knowledge which will give you the confidence you need. This is a SELF HELP site and won’t do the work involved for you. However, everything you need is on here somewhere. This site is all about EMPOWERMENT and you will gain the confidence that you will need. The excellent A-Z guide compiled by Michael is a fantastic source of information. But remember, this isn’t a game. You are taking on large institutions which MAY lead to court, but you do need to be prepared. Everyone is very friendly and keen to help. Dave and Bankfodder have done a great job in producing the site, and all the moderators, helpers and current users really are a very nice bunch. Please also understand that any advice that you receive is normally based on experience and expert advice should be sought if needed. The first thing you need to do is find your relevant banks forum and start your own thread in there. I have put some useful links onto the thread that you can refer to when needed. Good luck. See you at the other end…… Some useful links..
