  7. They'll know exactly what the procedure is with regard to your claim. It won't be the first time they have recieved similar letters. As Vampiress said it seems the tactics of many banks is to push you as far as possible before paying up. I would be inclined to follow the procedures on here carefully. If you try and skip a stage to get your money quick. They will more than likely call your bluff. You must be prepared to go to court if necessary, it's very unlikely it would get to the stage where you sit in front of a judge, but you need to let the bank know, you are fully prepared to do so in order to get your money back.
  8. Got two letters today, one from the court stating that they'll be fully defending the claim (yer right!) and the second from DG saying the money will be in my account the next few days. As soon as the money is in, I'll fill out the survey and make my donation!
  9. MINT have sent me a letter enclosing a cheque to refund all charges: "I am sorry that you remain dissatisfied, however I can only reiterate that we believe that our charges are fair, reasonable and transparent. Nonetheless as a gesture of goodwill, we are prepared to refund these charges on this occasion, and I enclose a cheque to cover these I trust I have brought this matter to a resolution" RESULT!!
  10. I understand what you're getting at, but 34mph outside a school for example makes quite a bit of difference. 30mph is the supposed maximum speed, you should drive according to the conditions always. So at 3.30pm on a weekday, outside a school, you shouldn't complain about being caught at over 30mph. The conditions are very unlikely to favour any excess speed. I'd have much more of a problem with being caught doing 70mph on a long straight 50mph stretch of a Dual Carriageway at 2.30pm on a sunny Sunday! (Which I was by the way!)
  11. I'm going to take alot of satisfaction in recovering my money from MINT after my conversation with the Customer 'Service' Supervisor last month.
  12. Letter from DG Solicitors today with the inevitable, so it looks like the claim is settled. I'll return the form and hopefully should have my money within a few days! One question, what do I have to do with regard to Moneyclaim now they have made their 'out of court' offer that I intend to accept. Do I enter a Judgment by Admission or just do nothing?
  13. Claim issued 17/05/2006, deemed to be served 22/05/2006.
  14. A very satisfying response by yourself. Unfortunately, even if someone does bother to read it properly, they would not be allowed to respond to your points unless it was with a standard letter. It's a shame, has anyone actually managed to get any personal dialog from any bank other than a standard letter?
