  1. Hi Michael and Guido T, thanks for your advice , I have filled in the Allocation Q'aire and sent it off. I have read a large number of the case studies on this web-site but it is always different when it is your own claim. The fact it has gone this far obviously shows Lloyds that I intend to continue. However are they only trying to stall for as long as possible to wear me down, can they really NOT afford to go to court in actuality?
  2. Hi everyone, in my last post I took Lloyds to court for the original amount minus the £750 they put into my account at Xmas. They wrote back via the court saying they had already paid me £750. I ticked the box to proceed with the claim in any case (I guess they are planning to do this with everyone who was partially refunded). I have had today a letter from the court moving the case to my local court and saying Lloyds are still defending their claim. Do I pay another £100 and resend the form to continue? Are they simply stalling for time? thanks Damian
  3. Hi Thanks Gary, I do appreciate your help, have decided to proceed with the Moneyclaim online minus the £750. I feel it will end up at this stage in any case, filed 01/01/07 Damian
  4. Hi everyone, I have just received a similar letter yesterday offering me £750 and I find that Lloyds have actually put the money into my account, Do we still take Lloyds to court through Moneyclaim online or send another letter ? I had sent my 14 days letter at the beginning of December. Damian vs Lloyds
  5. thanks, I now have all the info and have downloaded all your forms. Will keep everyone informed Damian
  6. Hi , I am at the "take Lloyds to court stage" Do you believe they will not actually go to court, are they GUARANTEED to lose? It does seem like they have stalled on purpose? Damian
  7. Hi Nat and Ataction, thanks for your advice, where can I find information / site links for Moneyclaim Online please, Damian
  8. Hi Everyone, I sent off for my bank statements for 2 accounts I have with Lloyds in September. I received a full list and sent off a claim for both accounts (used your template letter). I received a standard letter back "explaining that while the bank sympathises with your position, we do not agree with the Ombudsmans warning and go away, we will not be giving you any money" I therefore sent off your second template letter giving them 14 days to respond again. I have had no further correspondance from them. Can anyone help with where I should go from here please ?
  9. Hi everyone, having sent my initial letter to Lloyds in September asking for my charges back I have had a refusal letter from the bank. they have stated they do not agree with the OFT and this letter is the Banks final response. Letter was from a Howard Callanan, Customer Service Officer at Andover. they have suggested I go to the OFT. do I now send them one of the template letters "final chance" giving them 14 days or I will continue ? Do I go through the OFT as well, Any help would be much appreciated Damian
  10. Hi Louise, I had a siimilar issue with one of my accounts I am now claiming for and the bank said it was better for me to clear the account first, they would! You can however claim at any stage according to the law and if the case drags on, accumalate interest as you go Damian
  11. Hi all, I decided to recliam my charges from Lloyds recently and joined the forum. I have been into my local branch to request a set of statements from my accounts. They have all arived in under a week. The lady at the bank said it is easier and quicker for a request for information to go via the local branch and thhey do not always charge the £10. I have now written to Lloyds using the template letter from this site and the spreadsheets available to start my claim. Will keep you all informed Claim Account XXX1 £1105 Claim Account XXX2 £1481 The lady at the Bank wished me good luck when I told her!
  12. Hi Wolfclub, I have just started getting my information together to claim against Lloyds. I went into my local branch and had the staff print out all the statements. I am now ready to send my first letter, would you advise sending it to a specific address ? Damian
  13. Hi everyone, i have just joined the group on recommendation from friends. I have been a customer of Lloyds for the past 15 years however over the past 2-3 years have financially struggled. I have run up just over £2000 of bank charges with Lloyds, the majority being charges on charges over the past 8 months. I have written and even been to see the bank manager but have met with little or no sympathy. Now I have closed my accounts and paid all charges I am looking to reclaim what I can. I am reading all the information posted with interest and plan to proceed against Lloyds as far as I can go. I will keep you informed. Any advice please let me know, Damian
