  3. I'm at the same stage as you. Today I start my claim. Haven't checked to see what i do yet like !!
  4. Ok, so we've had snippets back. In my 50% letter i got the option of calling some woman on her direct line if i dis-agreed with her stance on the 'terms and conditions'. Maybe its worth doing, I'll have to read up on things to throw at her. It may make her fold earlier in my case if she knows im determined to go all the way.
  5. hmmm so apart from the £150 the answer is no (so far). I must admit I'll be pleased when there's some cases appearing on the closed litigation section. Hopefully when they lose a few cases they'll see it's in their best interests to settle a little bit sooner. Best of luck to whoever is first becasue it looks like they are going all the way. I hope you get plenty of support so you kick their butts in there !!! ;-) and get a slot on GMTV !!
  6. Ok cheers JJ I'll keep an eye on your thread. Best of luck mate, were all behind you.
  7. Well i got the standard 50% offer from Barclays this morning, a day later than they said they would reply. So my LBA letter will be dropping on their mat this morning anyway. Barclays are really playing the waiting game with everyone, taking the maximum amount of days before the next action.
  8. It seems from the litigation section thats there's been no successful Barclays Bank claims as yet ? I know a couple of people were very close to court a few days ago but they seem to have run past their deadlines and stopped posting ? (or i'm just crap at finding the threads). Be nice to have some success storys to give all of us incentive to take them all the way.
  9. ICEFALL whats happening ? no posts for a few days ? they haven't taken a cotract out on you have they ?
  10. Yeah take it from me it's a fob off ! I waited and the dead line was today and i haven't heard anything. They are stalling for time. My LBA letter is in post today with a few words about their level of service ot my complaint !!
  11. Yeah i should of taken heed of your advice kaznelson, had no reply since they sent that letter. I've now sent an edited LBA letter stating how they haven't replied and I'm very disappointed in their level of service. But gives them another 14 days to sit on my money Grrrrrrrrr
  12. rcvd a letter saying " We are sorry you have had to contact us about the level of service yo have received from Barclays. We are looking into your concerns and will let you have an answer or update as quickly as possible, but no later than the 25th April 2006. In the meantime if you wish to discuss this matter further call us on 0845 6090806. Andrew Walton customer relations advisor

With this going National now, the banks are going to be overwhelmed with requests for bank charges refunded! Is there someway that someone maybe the goverment could come in and bring this all to a halt ?
  16. Icefall be interested to know what you did. It's a nice little sweetner what they've offered. I'm just started my proceedings with Barclays.
  17. I saw the article on the money saving website and then the guy on GMTV this morning. I've used the first letter to apply for all the charges on my two accounts. I'm a frequent over the overdraft spender and incurr quite a few charges. I was wondering though with the volume of people applying for this money back isn't only a matter of time before something happens and the whole thing is stopped ??
