  1. I have recently used the services of an 'independent debt advisor' who dealt with my bankruptcy and my wife's debt relief order. I paid him all the necessary fees (including the fees for the bankruptcy and DRO, which he suggested I pay to him then he will transfer it back to me when needed) The bankruptcy has now been dealt with and finalised (after a lot of chasing) but now I need the fees for the DRO that I paid him (£95) he is not returning my e-mails and hasn't repaid the money. Who can I complain to about this as the FCA and FOS only seem to deal with the companies not individuals. I have tried to search for the name of his company but cant seem to find it on search engine!!
  2. does any one know how far a bank has acually took a claim, before paying?
  3. thanks sea-sidelady that was helpful, still a bit nerve racking though!
  4. Hi never shay die, halifax offered me £1500 from a £3800 claim needless to say i turned it down, my over draft is not as much as yours it only £200 but im sure about what happens to the over draft

  6. i have just recieved letter from court informing me that halifax intend to defend the full amount. has any one else had this from the halifax? if so what was the outcome? is this just a stalling tactic or do istand a chance of losing the claim? any one with any info i would be glad to hear from you!!!
  7. Hi Traci, 75% not a bad offer, they only offered me about 25%, thats why i still carried on with claim, but yes the extra 8% has wacked the final figure up quite a bit!!
  8. Hi Docannie I first started the claim in september of last year, and only just got to the mcol stage now! they offered me a good will gesture in the early stages, but i refused as it was no where near the amount i was charged, but like you say at least i get the extra 8% now!
