  3. I think you should claim it. I think that Pension Credit is one of the things that entitles you to the Warm Home Discount: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?348990-WARM-HOME-DISCOUNT-Please-Check-your-Energy-Supplier
  4. Thanks so much for coming back and updating. I hope they sort things out quickly for you! A

  6. Sorry HB, I am a Muppet, I didn't realise it was on the first page - duh!
  7. I thought someone put a helpful post on about Foodbanks, where did that go?
  8. Have you thought of asking Women's Aid for help?
  9. I thought ESA had replaced incapacity benefit and not income support?
  10. I wonder if you could apply for income support? http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/On_a_low_income/DG_10018708
  11. Hi I do not have the knowledge for complex advice, but what I would say is immediately call and get a crisis loan so that you can buy food. 0800 032 7952 Someone will be along shortly to offer more help. Most of all, your family would not be better off without you, you are important to them. Take care A
  12. "A person who receives Income-related Employment and Support Allowance which includes a work-related activity or support component and a) has a child under the age of 5 who lives with them. or b) receives any one of the following in addition to Employment and Support Allowance - child tax credit which includes a disability or severe disability element; - a disabled child premium; - a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium; - a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium." I don't have kids or receive any disability premiums so that is me out.
  13. She didn't write down what the amounts actually were though, even though I told her!
  14. Well they did schedule one a few months before, but I had a few issues with attending it so it had to be rescheduled. Even though I have agoraphobia, they said that the fares for my escort had to come out of my own pocket. We complained, but not before they had cut off my ESA of course for non attendance. Eventually we got them to pay for a taxi there and back. Then when I finally got my "medical" with ATOS, they scored me 6 points. The "health care professional" marked each of my medications down as "normal" amounts. What does that mean exactly? - is it normal to be on medication?
  15. I waited 10 months for mine..
  16. I won my appeal on 25th April and the Tribunals service told me that they had sent a letter to DWP that same afternoon. Called DWP a few times since and I get a different story each time. They all say that they have received no notification. I have been told it'll take 2 weeks, 4-5 weeks and 6 weeks to sort out once they receive the notification.
  17. He's not my local MP but he's the secretary of State for Work and Pensions, so if you sent a letter to him in this capacity wouldn't he have to reply?
  18. I am getting the same thing about them saying that they have not received the notification. Anyone got Iain Duncan Smith's email address?
  19. Oh wow, that would be excellent. Thank you I think I started claiming in November 2010!
  20. Also, do I get backdated WRAG? I am guessing that this will be the group I am placed in as I wouldn't qualify for the support Group.
  21. Hi guys I just came back from my appeal against ATOS Decision that I was not entitled to ESA and I could go back to work! ATOS gave me 6 points. At the appeal today I got 30 and passed. Breakdown is: Walking 6 points Getting around 15 points Social situations 9 points My letter says I am entitled to ESA as I have limited capacity for work from 21.9.11 So which group am I placed in? - or am I just to continue as the same? Confused! A
