  2. Write to them using the applicable rejection letter! Nothing wrong with stating that you are accepting the amount offered as a PARTIAL settlement, but do it in writing.
  3. Send a rejection letter stating that you are accepting the £1331 as partial settlement, and keep going for the full amount. It's your money and it seems the Halifax are starting to use this tactic with uncanny regularity!   4. Hi Everybody, The Halifax duly refunded me £965.00 today. Many thaks to all on this forum, by scanning the threads I have managed to keep my questions to a minimum and muddle my way through !! Mods, Please can this post be moved to "Success Stories"?

  6. Hi All, I am at the point where Capital One have offered me the difference between their old penalty charge of £20 and their new charge of £12. I do not want to accept this (£111 as opposed to the £468 claimed!). Do I need to tell them I do not want to accept, or just go ahead and file my claim with the court? Regards Griddy
