Thankyou for the advice, again we went off line yesterday TWICE!!! so my husband rang them and also requested the conversation to be recorded. Top and bottom of it they are not supplying for a service we pay them, their excuse is its the transition from America-UK....but we are not putting up with their excuses any longer, in my opinion if they are doing work on the exchange they should not be doing it at peak times!!! I know the problem lies with them as i know quite a few people who its happening to also. My husband enquired about being compensated ....so i will carry on logging the times it goes off and if they offer compensation. If not i will go to Ombudsman as they did admit to the lack of internet connection.

It was just after 1st year... tv was switching itself off.....the charge my husband says is if they come out and they find nothing wrong with it, I wouldnt be calling them if there was nothing wrong with it would i lol.

im with aol and signed up for 'up to 8meg, looking at the chart im getting 2.97 if im looking at it correctly.....thats way below 8 meg .....what a rip!!!!

Hi My husband bought a projection tv from comet back in 2005, he also bought the extended warranty(5yrs) i have to say its been very valuable as they have been out numerous times to fix it. This is where the problems have arose, it has again got a fault but when he rang them this time they said there would be a £30 charge, we have never been charged in the past so im confused as to why they think they can charge now!!! This fault has not been caused by us, as with all the other faults. Personally i think its a defective tv from start. Im just wondering where i stand with this.

Has anyone else suffered connection issues since carphone warehouse has took over? ive lost count this yr so far how many times ive been off line, must be 3 or 4 times per week!!!! Foolishly my husband took advantage of the free laptop offer, we received laptop no probs but the router is a pile of c**p,so we swapped back to our original one. I was just wondering if i can get out of the 24 month contract, through breach of contract, we do not have a writen contract as none was sent presuming it must be on line. Ive never had any problem with AOL and ive been with them since 2000, until Carphone Warehouse took over.

It seems to me the government is all too quick to blame parents for unruly children but as parents we are bound by legislation in repremanding them! Makes no sense to me! As in my case my husband smacked one of our daughters on what he thought was her bottom slightly missed making a mark on her leg, SS end up at my house. I can understand why the school acted and SS, infact SS told me on the journey to school 'i can just see there's no abuse here' and backed me up with school. But she did say you can smack on the bottom without leaving a mark! Im at a stage now where i dare not even shout at them as the police very nearly were going to break my door down because they had a call saying there was a child in distress. In actual fact my 5 yr old daughter was having a paddy (and believe me what a temper she has). I just think its a real shame SS are so underfunded and so stretched to act when parents are in real distress. Hell if they do hell if they don't!!!!

ok i can't sit on side lines anymore on this one!!! firstly tasty is my friend known her since school, call me bias but believe me when she says shes tried everything SHE HAS. she has contacted everyone to help and assist that have been refered and more, but she keeps hitting her head on a brick wall!! this lady has been to hell and back BECAUSE SHE DOES love her children thats what is so hard about all of this. And yes i have witnessed more or less everything..... been to every meeting with her and believe me thats lots!!! ive lost count how many agencies are/have been involved. I truely do feel all tasty wants is SS to back her up and HELP her as they are the only ones who chose to ignore it all and pass the buck to someone else ie: other agencies. She might seem erratic sometimes when posting but this is because she has to endure this on a daily basis, i'm not going to go too much into every detail because it's not for me to do, but lighten up on her she's going through enough and yes i know some of you are thinking SO ARE WE ALL so have some patience. And just for the record not every eating disorder has to be anorexia its bulmia. She just wants help with SS and co-operation during this difficult time, she can correct me if im wrong but i dont think i am but its nothing to do with money.
