  1. Have you read all the post about CFO. They are known for emptying your bank account!!!!!!! I was one of those people lucky enough I got bank to refund the money and in a battle with CFO at the moment as there terms and conditions state they have to give notice to account holder first. I would look at changing your bank
  2. Yes I asked them to put a block on payments, they say I made my request to block payments after company requested the money
  3. Hi new headache I had my funds put back into my account on Fri, I drew £300 out on Sat my intention was to draw £300 out today £100 tomorrow once at a 0 balance to shut the account. My account was emptied today. This time not so lucky in getting my refund. I will be on tomorrow like a dog with a bone until I get my money back. Where can I go to find out true legalities, I want to phone and have as much knowledge around this as possible. Important advice I have for anyone else out there, as soon as you get you refund, transfer money to another account and close the account immediately. I had filled the form in to say the company cant take the funds, the bank say they received the request off the company before my letter so it has to go through
  4. Get a pen and paper, take everyones name you speak to. Show them you mean business, act confident, request managers Go girl get your money
  5. Kayleigh Can I ask a question, how did they get hold of your new bank detail? Just i'm in the process of opening a new account. I don't want to be going through all this again
  6. No you cant wait, you need the money reversing before it goes into there account. Listen it does not matter if you have admitted that. Get back on the phone you want the money refunding today. Don't take no for an answer, tell them you have been on this site you no they can do it, and you are not putting phone down till you get your funds reversed back into your account. Does not take 7 days they can do it now
  7. Hi Kay;eigh I did not throw FSA or anything else at the bank, I just stuck to my guns. I was direct and stern but not rude or aggressive. I told them that I had been on the consumer action group that I could see reversal of payments could be done by the bank. I also stated I was under a debt management programme so they didn't have the right to take it. I kept getting the same answer. After 8 hours they agreed. I refused to come off the phone till I was refunded. Second off after you get your refund, ask immediately, if someone can note on your account that under no circumstances are capital financial able to take money from your account, if it happens again which it will they have to refund you. It happened to me again last night. This time it was a straight forward reversal of funds back into my account. I am now looking at changing bank accounts. Don't give up, you will get your money back
  8. Hi this happened to me yesterday. I had a total of £886 taken from my account. All I can say is be persistant. I phoned CFO to no avail, spoke to numerous call centre staff who were rude and not very professional at all. I ended up in contact with customer relations manager and had two of there staff suspended due to horrid work manner. I then got on to Barclays, it took me a total of 8 hours, I demanded my money back, which I got. I then asked if I could fax a letter to state I did not want the bank to let cfo take more money from my account. It does not need to be done by letter they said my verbal agreement was fine. Like all posts, the bank were saying they couldn't do it, blah blah blah, they can do not come off the telephone till you get the answer you are looking for
