I was wondering today... People have been getting "Gesture of Goodwill" payments from their banks... Let's say that just one of these upcoming cases is taken to court, is seen through to conclusion and the bank wins... Can that open a floodgate for them to issue proceedings against the people they have already paid out payments to in order to recoup their losses? Of course, this is just me musing out loud - but I've a feeling that a getsure of good will can not be taken back at a later date... Draven

Thanks for your reply. Which of my threads do you consider my start thread so I copy and paste my question for your ease of reference? I have posted individual questions about my claim so far - as and when I required assistance on a particular subject, rather than discuss my claim in full. Additionally, this is just a thought - with the amount of "bank lurkers", surely a combined thread will build up a picture of a claimant and give the "enemy" an unfair advantage? My letter was worded very similarly to the standard letter doing the rounds and requested a full refund within 7 days or else I would start proceedings. Draven

Hi all Just wanted to run something by you all for some advice: Barclays have responded to my initial claim letter within my 7 day deadline with their standard acknowledgement letter from Anita Hicks. It states that they will be in touch with me by a certain date. However, should I wait to see what their response is, or play hardball and begin the legal process as they have disregarded my 7 day warning to issue a full refund? I have registered with Moneyclaim in preparation. I know some of you have phoned the bank at this stage and had some success, however, I would probably prefer to conduct this matter in writing only. Should I wait for their response or issue proceedings? Draven
