  1. I must admit I did enjoy ringing Cap one today, nice to have them doing my bidding for a change. Anyway was initially told statements sent to me on 16/08/06, then half an hour later, after informing them that I hadn't received anything, that my statements were in the post and I should receive them today or tomorrow! Anyway on my return home, two large letters waiting for me, both postmarked Nottingham-result! So out with the calculator, £784 in charges-minimum that is. Somehow Cap One have managed to 'misplace' 10 months statements. The phrase '...........in a brewery' keeps springing to mind. Anyway I think a letter asking for these charges will be on its way, with the proviso that it's subject to change due to their incompetence. Oh yeah better get the spreadsheet out 'cos I'm not letting them get away with charging me upto 24.9% apr on this little lot.
  2. Just had a quick look on b4usearch.com and it's given me a few Nottingham nos Address Capital One, (Credit Cards) Trent Ho Station St Nottingham NOTTINGHAM NG2 3AJ NOTTS 01158433300 Think I may have to give them a little reminder:-D
  3. Well, forty days are up on Saturday and to date no statements, However the letter of acknowledgement I received from Miss Blunt doesn't have a contact tel no, and my account with Capital One is long since closed and paid off but I feel like giving them a ring and mithering them as much as they did to me So anyone got a telephone nos I might find useful?
  4. Ok, got my statements on Saturday-what interesting reading thay make :-| Letter claiming the charges back to be sent tomorrow £706 of charges I have found no problem, the only difficulty I had was, is that this was an Advantage gold acc and reading a few other threads stating Natwests way of listing some charges (unauthorised borrowing) and also account fees were combined would anyone like to confirm that where I was charged £29, £9 of this was account fee and similarly where I was charged £37, £12 was account fee? Should this be the case I'll be adding another £300! Making a nice total of £1006
  5. Thanks for the info, well half of hell of a lot is better than nothing! So will be onto this asap.
  6. Hi, one question, the Nat West account that I had major charges on was a joint account with my ex (now divorced!) Can I pursue this on my own or does it have to be both of us? The main reason I ask is because my ex partner now lives overseas and I rarely have any contact. Many thanks in advance.
  7. Well, just sent my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) letter so here goes! Big thanks to everyone who has gone before and makes all this seem fairly easy.
