I joined C-date, a German based Dating company run by Interdatesa.com on 26.11.20 and paid with PayPal.
My intention was to only join for a month.
I paid £9.90 for the first month and soon realised that it was rubbish, full of fake profiles.
I also checked the reviews on Trustpilot and I have seen many people who have had problems with this company
on 26.12.20 I stopped the recurring payments on PayPal and sent them an email confirming I had stopped payment and wished to have my profile deleted.
Apparently you can only cancel your membership via fax, which I think is totally unreasonable.
They are now sending me threatening emails from a collection agency because I have not allowed them to take £39.90 for the second month.
I have now blocked their emails and I am ignoring them.
Can they do this and if they can,
what action should I take?
