  1. Thats what I am paying too. I dont mind paying that for good providor and a good service. Bad customer service is something I cant stand though. I begrudge giving money away to a company every month who dont know how to treat their customers
  2. Avoid Pipex. They are currently trying to charge me double for missed payments despite me immediately forwarding copies of my bank statements to prove I have paid them! ALSO The service is appauling and the connection is slow at best compared to other friendlier and cheaper providers
  3. Letter received today in relation to claim 2! They are giving me £950 inc interest and costs as out of court settlement for my second claim. Cheque will be here within 7days!!! Great! Now for my 3rd claim with Halifax!
  4. will do it now. For my second claim on same account do I go ahead and instigate another small claim or do I go through the whole procedure again (request refund of remaining charges, then LBA, then Small claims court)????
  5. Woohoo!!! Cheque received in post today for £965 (claim 1 + interest + fees) with letter stating "it will cost Halifax money to defend the claim etc". Now for my second claim!!!!
  6. Marvellous! .. Just sit back and wait for the big payout. It will come! Just dont accept any of the 'distractors' they will put in front of you in the form of lesser offers.
  7. That sounds right to me. I am in Scotland and when it comes to the court claims I am allowed a max of £750, so have to 'sever' my claim in to £750 chunks. I have to make sure that I dont have two court claims running at the same time or the bank may consolidate the claims into one summons and request they be dealt with together which would bring it out of the small claims court and into the big boys court where I would be liable for expenses!! In your case, I get the impression you are in England so I believe your maximum claim at one time is £5000 . So long as all your accounts together amount to less than this then I would think you should be okay to claim from both accounts simultaneously. This is how I understand it, anyway. Perhaps someone can confirm if this is correct or not.
  8. I think you should recalculate using the spreadsheet (think 8% per annum from the date of each charge) you will find it is WAY more than £27.
  9. looks like your in the same boat as me, Mairi, but a week behind. Which court are you claiming thru?
  10. Ive now waited 22 days since the summonas was issued and not heard anything from Halifax. Is this normal for Halifax Scotland claims, does anyone out there know??
  11. Ive just got a letter from HBOS saying that despite a full search of records, there is no trace of my account. I think it must have closed prior to June 2001 and they are probably just being awkward. I'm going to leave it at that I think. I`m focussing all my efforts on Barclaycard and Halifax now!
  12. Just checking in.... Nothiing heard and not much to report. I got a letter from Halofax the other day regarding my change of address (I have moved to a new address since my account closed) The letter stated that I should phone Customer Services quoting my roll number to confirm the charnge of address. I phoned them and they told me that they couldnt find my account. I explained that it was a closed account and that I was currently pursuing a claim for unfair bank charges. I was then passed through to someone else who said, "Oh, there's a note on your account that summons has been served..... Oh you'll get a reply shortly then". Interesting. I only phoned to confirm a change of address!
  13. Thats it! channel your energy....in with anger, out with love....repeat after me
  14. I think it may have been removed from my file as it was over 5 years ago, hoever I will check that. Thanks Jeep.
