  3. welcome and keep us informed.
  4. sounds good to me, however i'd be tempted to keep the extra £84 (just don't spend it) and make them ask for it!
  5. Good for you. Just keep going, these guys think we're all going to back down. I'm still waiting for DPA then i'll be right there with you.
  6. If you are in a position to do this, check that the credit card allows 'balance transfers' to bank accounts. In some cases they treat it as a cash withdrawal and you get stung for the interest. Best one at the mo is Egg, they allow you to transfer straight to a bank account, 0% interest. But they do charge a handling fee.
  7. Approx 13 years ago I was advised to 'opt out' of the NHS superannuation scheme and to start paying into a personal pension. Due to changes in personal circumstances (mainly lack of funds) I stopped paying into this and it was frozen. I have now been told that I can claim from them and have my current pension boosted by the equivalent of what I lost by leaving the NHS which was a better pension to start with. Problem is I don't have any idea of how to contact them. It was with General Portfolio who now no longer exist. If anyone has any idea who they were taken over by I would be grateful. Thanks
  8. I got a new 100% mortgage just 3 years after a repossession. This was some years ago and I can't remeber who it was with. Interest rate was high but as has already been said, after paying on time for a couple of years was able to re-mortgage no problem to a better provider. Went through an independent mortgage advisor, was completely honest with him about all past credit and of course had to pay his fees but felt it was worth it in the end.
  9. yes you can. have a good read around the site and the faqs. Keep us posted.
  10. Mine Took Bout 4 Weeks I Think.
  11. But they've only offerd him HALF of his money back
  12. Have had similar letters from a company called Nelson Guest and Partners requesting payment of a 5 year old debhat I have no recollection of. Rang them and requested that they sent me a copy of the original credit agreement with my signature on. Funny but they couldn't provide it. Received one more threatening letter which I ignored. Last letter from them was over a year ago.
  13. Its up to you really, are you happy with only getting half your money back? Have a look at Bookworm v Natwest. Might inspire you.
  14. Just keep going with YOUR timetable. Not sure which letter you sent them, if it was the prelim then now sent LBA. They are just playing for time
