  1. Ah ok. Thanks again for your help, it's much appreciated. Ed
  2. Oh, I forgot to ask.... When you say make 'full complaints', what does this mean in terms of what complaints and to whom? Thanks Ed
  3. That's really great advice, thanks! I will keep the forum posted on how I get on. Ed
  4. Ah, that's great! Thanks for the link. I will send it through to them and I will post on here how I get on. Thanks Ed
  5. Thanks citizenB, Is this something that the CC co's would go for? If so, then yes.... What would a smallish payment equate to? And what would then happen, if after the agreed period, I was still in difficulty? Thanks Ed
  6. I currently have three credit cards which I currently owe in the region of £35k in total on. I have recently been unable to make the minimum payments on them in the last 3 months due to work drying up, and not looking much better in the forseeable future. One of which is with Natwest. I wrote to them saying that I am having trouble paying, and they just keep sending me letters saying that I should call them as they need to speak to me urgently - I have not done this yet. What I really want to find out is what I should do next, seeing that I can't pay them the amounts that they want in the near future, but I would really like to pay off the amounts in the future, but not sure when that would be. Therefore, I would appreciate any help that anyone can provide me, as I really want to take control of this situation, from a process perspective and a financial perspective. Thanks Ed

I wrote to them saying that I am having trouble paying, and they basically said tough and that they will continue putting on interest, and that in the mean time I should send them an Income and Expenditure breakdown, which I have yet to do. I have recently been unable to make the minimum payments on them in the last 3 months due to work drying up, and not looking much better in the forseeable future. One of which is with BC. I wrote to them saying that I am having trouble paying, and they gave me 30 days to sort out a plan and that they will freeze the interest for one month and that I should send them an Income and Expenditure breakdown asap so that they can sort out a payment plan. What I really want to find out is what I should do next, seeing that I can't pay them the amounts that they want in the near future, but I would really like to pay off the amounts in the future, but not sure when that would be. 9. Thanks dx, The CC companies are MBNA (did not freeze interest), Barclaycard (did freeze the interest) and Natwest ( asking me to contact urgently). The amounts are roughly £15k, £10k, £10k respectively. I have not even considered anything regarding PPI or penalty charges. Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Ed
  10. Hi, I currently have three credit cards which I currently owe in the region of £35k in total on. I have recently been unable to make the minimum payments on them in the last 3 months due to work drying up, and not looking much better in the forseeable future. I have sent the CC companys a letter stating that I am having trouble paying and I requested that they freeze the account for two months including halting interest whilst I try to get a handle on my finances. One wrote back saying that they cannot freeze the interest, and that I had better cough up the money or else. One wrote back saying that they will freeze the interest for one month and that I should send them an Income and Expenditure breakdown asap so that they can sort out a payment plan, and the other one has only sent me several letters asking me to phone them urgently. The oldest CC is from 2002 and the newest is from 2008. I am not sure whether I should provide anymore detail on here, and I will follow advice given as to how much detail I should give on here. Thanks Ed
