They say that they will not be investigating further at the moment after they conducted a risk assessment. They conclude that the matter can be closed.- 29 replies

Complaints about solicitors – Is the SRA fit for purpose?
123ab replied to FitForPurpose's topic in Campaign
Hi, I have recently made a complaint to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) about the conduct of a supermarket solicitor. I am very disappointed with the SRA's decision to not take any regulatory action against the solicitor. I am absolutely certain that solicitor acted dishonestly in his correspondence with me and so, according to me, that solicitor breached some of the terms of the code of conduct for solicitors. I think the SRA are not doing good enough. I am trying to post about my petition on this forum, but the admins have not yet approved my post.- 29 replies

Postmen throwing parcels through windows
123ab replied to bunkmedal's topic in Postal and Delivery Services
I have worked for Royal Mail as a postman. I agree with the people who posted earlier; I think you should leave a note somewhere where the postman can see it. It is definitely wrong to throw parcels through windows. If you still have postmen throwing your parcel through the window, then you should raise a complaint to your local delivery office. -
I have worked for Royal Mail as a postman (both as a Royal Mail employee and via an agency) and know that some delivery offices are poorly managed. There are times when agency staff are used to deliver mail. Sometimes the amount of mail agency staff are expected to deliver is far too much. Sometimes there is no one available to deliver a certain 'walk' and, in those circumstances, the mail just stays at the office undelivered. Also, I have heard a lot of people complaining that they receive cards (p739 cards) saying that the postman attempted to deliver a parcel but no one was in when in fact someone was in. I am sure this is done deliberately by some Royal Mail staff, perhaps because there are too many parcels to deliver. I think you should complain to Ofcom as, I think, they regulate Royal Mail.
