  1. Thank you, I sent it to Protection House, 83 Bradford Road, Leeds, LS28 6AT. I will send the letter to Mr Sands too as my complaint seem to have generated full blown recovery action on the accounts, I am getting messages daily telling me that they are going to arrive at my home unannounced!
  2. I have been receiving a ridiculous amounts of emails, texts and automated calls to my place of work from this lot and until today when I spoke to them (I know not advised) that the alledged debt is for a Swift Sterling payday loan taken in 2012. The only thing I would discuss on this rather amusing call was to tell them to remove my work number from their system. The very strange thing is that only on Wednesday did I send them by recorded delivery a letter of complaint requesting proof of debt, confirmation of who the debt is with (as this has until today not been disclosed), full statement of accounts and for the account to be put on hold as it is in dispute. This was signed for by the aptly named MMF at 10.16 yesterday (Thursday). Laura with no surname told me I had not written to them and that I had not communicated my queries with them in anyway?????????? Really?????? I can prove all written requests and receipt of them by MMF. She asked me what the complaint was about, told her to read the letter, then if I wanted a manager call back to which I politely replied that I do not want to speak to anyone from their company over the phone and would request responses to my numerous emails would suffice and that I would be reporting them should I not receive a satisfactory response to my complaint. Now what I am wanting some advice on is considering they are in receipt of my formal complaint and have actually stepped up their harrassment, what do I do next?
  3. Hi, I have Lending Stream chasing me round the houses but they wont actually provide any info that I ask for!!! They have passed it to Mucky Hall. I have had to enter into a DMP with StepChange due to an ongoing and not going away issue with Student Loans Company and have just added the debt to that. If I am honest I cannot be bothered to fight anymore. As for Wonga, not heard a peep and I have not chased it, if they do rear their ugly heads again, I will ask for the information again and see what they come up with, I certainly wont be chasing them!
  4. I thought I would give an update on my situation. I managed to successfully arrange payment plans with Peachy (bit of a nightmare), Mr Lender, Payday Express and Money in Advance. I am now free of Payday Express and Money in Advance and on 24 December will have paid off Peachy with just Mr Lender to go which will be cleared in March!!!! I am still awaiting evidence (signed copys of agreements from Wonga and Lending Stream) to show the true debts before I set up any kind of payment plans, they have been sold on and my credit rating is through the floor anyway so I am not chasing, but I do have many emails stating that this is evidence I require before I enter into negotiations in case they want to try and take me to court. Life is looking so much better and though things are still a little tight, I am not paying out hundreds of pounds a month to PDL companies any more
  5. From what I can see is that DCA are trying to maintain control by telling you what they want. If they do decide to take the court route with you, you have a good defence as you are offering payments and have disputed the amount they say is owed, but there is one major problem and that is if they provide the courts with you last known address, you are highly unlikely to receive the court papers which you can then file your defence on in time. If it were me, I would provide them with an I&E and show that £20 a month is all you can afford and then would follow this up with a request for bank details. If they do not respond to this I would send a £20 postal order to the address they give and state that you are deducting the costs of the postal order, the stamp and the envelope off the total balance and send them a mini statement showing what you owe. Take back control, you tell them what you can afford and start to make payments, if and I do believe if is a very big word in this case they take you to court, their case would be weak at best!
  6. She was a private vet. We didn't go for a 2nd opinion but went with gut instinct which seems to have proved us right. The wound is pretty much healed, no seeping, no ghastly stench and no sign of it bothering my lovely dog. I will never take him back to her but am happy that he is on the mend
  7. Absolutely right, your rent is PRIORITY!!!! Call your bank and cancel the Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) with your bank, do this by telephone AND letter into your local/nearest branch, when doing this also stress that they companies involved no longer have any authority from you to access your account. My experience indicated that once they realise they cannot take anything from your account, they are more inclined to start listening to your proposals. Do take a look at the Govan Law post, fantastic tips in there!!!
  8. Unfortunately I am at work so unable to watch but was finding it amusing listening to Wonga try and offer the Archbishop a PDL on yesterdays news!!!
  9. The important thing with these people is to stick to your guns, do not let them bully you and know your rights. They will try and question your knowledge with stupid quotes and try and twist the law to suit them. If you do decide to send the postal orders remember to include a cover letter and in that state opening balance, current balance (after postal order) and deduct the cost of the postal order and postage from the balance.
  10. Thank you that really helped! I have just been on the phone and gone through my I&E which I spent some time sorting out last night. As expected it came out as a deficit, which was no surprise as I was £300+ short for my bills last month!!! They have put my case on hold for the next 6-8 months and will then write to me to review my finances. Hopefully by then my appeal will be sorted, but at least I can sleep a bit easier now.
  11. Today has been absolutely awful. Had 2 letters from HMRC demanding payment of £5000 & £4500 by 7 December 2013 dated 28 October 2013. I know that I should of been expecting it but an hour earlier I fell down the stairs and was (still am) in a mess. I rang the "helpline" (as much help as a chocolate teapot!) and they were just horrible. I discovered that my complaint had been logged on 24 October and my dispute/appeal of the overpayment was logged with the CEO's office on 28 October (same day as letter) and that they will not put a hold on these horrible letters, though they have 17 weeks to deal with my letters. They have suggested putting a payment plan in place to stop the letters, but I am concerned, very concerned that this would show my "admission/ownership" of the overpayment which I strongly disagree with. I was told that I could pay back over ten years at £90 per month, which to be blunt is impossible right now or provide an I&E form to get this reduced and that they can take 25-50% of my excess income. I feel like throwing up, and am about to buckle under the pressure, what would anyone suggest?? Please please help if you can as I really dont know what to do
  12. My husband and I took out a loan (secured) with our friends at Welcome in 2006 for £10,000. We have had our PPI refunded already. We have approximately £4500 left on the account which is in default and with their "last chance saloon" department so no further interest is being added to our account. We are meant to be paying £220 per month, but at the moment are experiencing financial difficulties and they are not willing to help. My husband is highly likely to be made redundant in February and will be getting a payout which we intend to use to clear some debt, this being one of them. I have been paid today and after paying everything am in the red by about £200. I have spent most of the day negotiating with everyone I owe money to in order to get reduced payments for the next 2 months as I should be in a better position in the new year as a few debts will be finished. The last time I spoke to an account manager at Welcome they told me that the next step is to get an attachment of earnings on my salary and that was that, really quite an upsetting conversation. Now I do know that they have to take me to court etc first but with my DD due out on Monday has anyone got any suggestions of how to deal with them. I have 3 children and need to live but though I have dealt with PDL companies, this lot intimidate me
  13. Mr L agreed to my payment plan without any problems. TBH they seem to be (only had 1 month on p/plan) really quite fair. I am able to make payments into their accounts, which I am doing by going into Barclays and not via my bank account and they have acknowledged payment via email. I did get a text this morning to say my p/plan had failed but that was just because I cancelled my CPA. I have now had it confirmed that the plan is up to date and a statement of account has been sent to me.
  14. I get texts and emails galore all day long!! I did think about changing my details but thats ridiculous so my delete button is getting very worn lol!! I have 3 pdl's left, all on payment plans and will be free after the last payment is made on Februay 25th!!!!
  15. In case anyone else may need them:- Bank Name: Barclays Account Number: 2382-4616 Sort Code: 20-95-61
