I've just discovered the joys of this warranty for which I paid £200. Gearbox gone - wear and tear. Have we no comeback against the dealer for mis-selling these warranties? A normal buyer thinks he's getting a guarantee for 3 months but it is never explained that wear and tear is excluded and he doesn't get to see the warranty terms before it's too late. It seems to me to be just as illegal as the banks mis-selling PPI insurance etc. Is there no swell of public opinion against these shady practices in the motor trade?
