  1. Right then, after another sleepless night and being paranoid at any noise around the house we are no further forward, Yesterday we told them that they could take the stuff that they had originally levied on as we had no other option as we cannot pay the debt in full. Again we offered to pay in installments but were refused. He has given her til Monday to come up with the money, impossible as we just haven't got it, The council refuse to get involved stating that the bailif are acting well within their guidelines, the police as already stated have taken the side of the bailif, so basically there is no other option than to give them what they levied on yesterday?? the new list ?? There is no other option between now and Monday, it is making my partner ill...
  2. well he never turned up!! has rung and said she got to find some way of paying, by Friday, Monday at the latest ?
  3. it's 4.40 now, no sign of them turning up, apparently one of the tricks is turn up after the council offices have closed ?? what do I do if they turn up again with the removal lorry, am I obliged to let them in ??
  4. the bailiff's showed the police the wpo, the police therefore believe they have the right to enter.. that's why they intervened and allowed him to climb through the window. The police are under the belief that because the bailiffs do this everyday they know what they are doing. As I've said earlier they have given another notice of distress, dated today with a new list of goods on them, they said they are returning today to gain entry and remove the goods, do we have to let them in ??? even if the police turn up ?? Even if I do not leave them in can they then contact a locksmith and show the locksmith the wpo for him to break into the house?? I have found my cheque book and my bank accounts statement with the quad payments on there, clear as day P Jones, Quad and the amount (1/2 the amount as I haven't paid for it in full), dating back to March last year. She has again spoken to the Council this afternoon and they have stated that it is still in the hands of Rossendales as they are acting within the council's guidelines? basically they are having nothing to do with it.. Rossendales ant the full amount, there's no way out ???
  5. the police turned up, I explained to them the situation, and stated that I was not going to let them in. The bailiff pulled a downstairs window and got in, the police stopped me from stopping him.. All peaceful, they now have relievied and are bringing in a removal van later today, to remove the new list of goods (one of which is MY quad- I cant prove it's not hers) they have given her a notice of distress, exactly the same as the WPO with an inventory of goods on it, dated today, it also clearly states that she has 5 days to pay it.. signed and dated by the bailiff ??? They haven't taken anything as yet, just got to wait til they come back with a van ??
  6. He states that this is not acceptable as we 'may have swapped the goods' he states he has every authority to come in and re-levy ?? she did sign the wpo, she didn't know any better??
  7. they are waiting on a locksmith, my partner wants to let them in as she feels she has no other option..??
