  1. I paid cash, I still have the a4 invoice for it if thats any use but obviously not. Zotac do take responsibility of the retailer goes bust, you simply pay them £25 to do so.
  2. Hey, A few years ago I was on incapacity benefit after a work accident, and was out of work for 3 years. During this period the kitchen was turning into a hazard and the bathroom upstairs had some problems that needed attention. I went to my bank (Barclays for 20 years) to see if I can get some kind of a credit card / overdraft to pay for the bits I needed but instead I was offered a small loan of £2700. I took the loan not knowing, or ever being told anything about PPI. I found out 2 months ago (two years after the loan was paid off) that the PPI had racked upto a good £350 on the last payment. I was looking online for letter templates to send to the bank but to be honest, they are a little confusing and was wondering if I could grab some pointers on the correct way to format the letter. Many thanks!
  3. Hi, Sorry to bump such an old thread. I just want to know if anyone can shed some new light onto the matter. I'm sure there is a way as suggested several times, however Zotac simply refused to accept SoGA as an excuse and constantly pointed to their own warranty period. Many thanks!
  4. I didn't know when it was going to end that is why I emailed them to find out however I knew it would be within the month. I didn't anticipate to receive a reply 2 weeks later. I phoned them several times before hand but they told me to email the relevant department as they couldn't pull up the warrenty details there and then for some reason. If they had of confirmed it was still in warranty I was simply going to put out a request for RMA it is that simple. Nobody's flogging of dead horses mate. Regarding SOGA. Zotac take full responsibility over their products if the retailer you purchased it from goes bust. So not sure if what you say applies? They may not have sold it to me but they took responsibility of it. Thanks!
  5. I requested infomation on my warrenty as I knew it will end somewhere in the month. Turned out to be the 31st. I emailed them on the 25th but never got a reply till the 7th of January. They told me not to worry and to simply follow the steps but then out of the blue they said that they will not cover the card any longer as it was out of warranty. I explained to them I was in contact with them since the 25th but they wouldn't have any of it so I gave up. This was way back in February. I thought I'd give it one more try using a more legal approach but obviously that never worked either.
  6. Revived a reply yesterday... A bit appalled really. They simply keep writing the same thing over and over again. This is the third time I have received this: "Sorry but you did not put in a claim within the warranty period, you simply requested information on you're warranty a few days before it expired..." They basically ignored everything I wrote and gave me a response not relevant to my email. Now what?
  7. Well here's a little update. I wrote them out an email, mentioned SOGA a few times (thanks dx100uk for you're template) and surely enough I received a reply a few hours later asking for more information located on the card. I promptly sent that back to them, again mentioning SOGA and how it failed within the warranty they provided anyway. This was 7 days ago. So I sent them an email on Monday asking for an update but still no reply. I was going to wait till the end of the day to send them an email giving them a deadline to resolve the matter but not quite sure how I would draft it. Not exactly to sure what to say if they don't meet that deadline. Lol. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the help thus far. If it wasn't for you guys I doubt they would have even replied to me.
  8. Yes actually I think I do DX. I will give it a try.
  9. thanks for the link I will definitely look into it! I may even by one for my own car as it is getting old now.
  10. Yes actually I think I do DX. I will give it a try.
  11. Yes as DX says I paid cash. Mistake. Any ideas if its possible to "rent" an heavy duty car charger? I used a car battery trickle charger but the thing is so small it is a joke. Couldn't charge my AA batteries if it wanted to. Plus I think the last time I had to use it, it caused the socket to start sparking. Lol.
  12. Thanks but did not help. Here is the battery make/model: HCB096 Here are the only codes printed on the battery: "1A61C07" - "B139C4" and also a product serial number.
  13. Hmm, sorry. I just checked and it says 4 years guarantee, not 5 years lol. That is my other battery. But still it should be fine. The problem is, I have looking all over the battery for a date stamp, or a code of some sort that could relate to a date but NOTHING. Any ideas where to look? After some googling this battery hit the shelves in 2007. So if they use that as a start point that means it has already run out of its guarantee time frame.
