  1. It is very confusing, the first loan was 2005, the middle loan was 2005 and the last loan was 2007, I would have though the interest on front loaded PPI would have been more ?, I do have the original loan agreement for the middle 2005 agreement which states PPI, that was a joint loan though and not just in my husbands name.
  2. What about the interest on the PPI and what about the loan (middle one in picture) that states £0 on PPI and I have a document with the PPI shown ? I thought they could only offset against notified arrears ?
  3. Tried to upload picture of letter but it is too small, not sure how to get it actual size 2nd one may work ? Welcome 2.pdf
  4. This is very confusing and could do with help with composing a letter to send to the FSCS who have just upheld a complaint on mis-sold PPI on a Welcome loan, the loan is still active but not in arrears and FSCS want to pay the PPI award towards the remaining balance of the loan, furthermore there doesnt seem to be any 8% interest added in the calculations. This is a claim that we put in for my husband, in total he has had 3 loans with them, 2 in his own name which were made up of the initial loan and a few years ago we got in money trouble and Welcome forced him to refinance the loan over a longer term again putting on PPI, the 3rd loan they have included on the compensation calculator they sent us was a secured loan which was in both of our names (and I owe NOTHING to Welcome) which has £0 all the way down on the calculations implying that it didn't have PPI, I have a all the orginal PPI documents from that agreement and it did indeed and a lot of PPI on it. So what do I do next ?, 1. The loan isnt in arrears so how do I stop the FSCS offsetting agaisnt the balance ? 2. What about the 8% interest ? 3. The 3rd loan is marked at having no PPI but I have the PPI documents here and that was in a joint name so if they do admit miss-selling on that policy can they offset that against my husbands existing loan even though it is in joint names and I owe then nothing ? If someone lets me know how I can post up a copy of the letters I am willing to do so, I dont have a scanner but can photo them and edit out personal data. Thanks in advance
  5. I spoke to the FOS on the phone and they said they wouldn't take it on as a complaint
  6. I am in same situation with Welcome, I took out a loan 3 days before they were registered under the guidelines, they won't pay out and FOS won't take it on.
  7. I asked Barclays to reconsider my claim, they have now asked me for proof that I had sick pay and life insurance etc from my company (which I did) but I have no copy of my contract as it was 12 years ago and the company I worked for has been taken over many times since then and don't hold a copy of my contract, I can get a letter from them stating the benefits in brief, would this be acceptable do you think ?, Barclays are driving me mental, this was front loaded PPI and they are trying all sorts to get out of it.
  8. Thank you, I will do this tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
  9. I had a claim with Welcome that they say is not valid as it was taken out in 2003 and apparently they were not regulated then.
  10. As you know from this thread I got my PPI claim rejected and eventually received the letter when I got home today, enclosed with the letter was somebody elses loan agreement, all personal details, bank account details, signatures etc etc, should I flag this to them or just leave it ?
  11. That's exactly the same as I was read today by Barclays. they say they have sent the letter but I have't got it, they also go onto say about the person who sold me the insurance has no other claims against them blah blah.
  12. Got a overview of the letter that Barclays have sent me as forced them to read it to me, basically standard rejection letter, one thing they do say though is that the person that sold me the policy hasn't had any complaints against them !! how random is that
  13. I am sure the PPI was cancelled when it went into the DMP, but the outstanding balance wasn't reduced so they haven't paid any refunds on it. I have seen a news article today where Barclays are rejecting more and more claims and forcing people to go to the FOS who are then taking 12 months to pay out the FOS are then finding in favour of a huge amount of the consumers, (think it was 90+%) . I am wondering if this is just a delaying tactic by Barclays so the profits for this year don't actually look that bad as anything they reject now they know is not going to come out until at least the next financial year ?,
  14. Put in a claim to Barclays for miss sell of PPI on a loan I took out in 2000, the loan was for £12k and the PPI was front loaded and was another £6033.00 my actual loan total was £18,033. I at the time had 12 months cover from work and was told by Masterloan that I had to take the PPI for the loan to be accepted, this was all done over the phone at the time. I sent in a claim to Barclays, hadnt heard and the 8 weeks was up so phoned them today and they say that my claim was rejected but they won't tell me what the letter they sent says and it hasnt arrived with me 2 weeks after they sent it. The loan went into a DMP in about 2004 but I had made 4 years full payments before it went into the DMP, I have paid it nearly all off within the DMP and there is about £900 left to pay. My question is how can they reject a £6k front loaded PPI claim ?, I have no idea what the grounds of rejection are as I havent got the letter and they wont tell me, what do I do now please ?
