Yea I went in casual clothes when I went to a mock interview, my advisor didnt say to dress smartly for it like, she only done mock with me because I failed to get out forward for a job interview during a group session with an ingeus member if staff (who was a ****** by the way) When doing the mock on the way to the room my advisor was walking so quick there, started the interview before I even had the chance to sit down, with the 1st question being 'what do you do in your spare time',at the end of it she asked do i wa t booking in for another one with her, (she didnt look 1 bit interested, so why?) but in a way it helped as the next ibterview i had i remembered some of the advice from her and got that job.

Talking of CVs my friend who now attends ingeus said that his advisor on one appointment said to hand CVs in the area (a big shop area) and then to come back on and tell her what shops he had handed them in to, he refused and he said her good mood soon went as she said oh alright just e-mail me them then, he wants to know what this was about. And what's better out if personal and vocational routeways?

I see thanks, I watched a video on YouTube were ed milliband grilled Cameron about introducing it and milliband was right, I remember getting this job and complaining to my local office manager about contacting them, he replied by e-mail 'we have to make a phone call which we have now done , what are you going to do about it', is this something you would expect from a manager? An advisor yes (knowing them) but a manager? Pathetic or what

How long have ingeus being going for? and was it soley David Cameron's idea to bring this in? And what else is baffling is why would an advisor keep you with them instead of referring you to an other advisor at a mark were they ars supposed to refer you to another advisor? Happened to my friend recently and it happened to me, when really we wanted another advisor

I see thanks for that info, so on the 6 month mark your ild advisor will get a bonus ir something like that? personally I let ingeus/my advisor claim till the 6 month mark then I withdrawn consent, only because my advisor was ok with me and after that 6 month mark I then wanted to be left alone without that thought at the back of my mind that they were making money on my own success, If itit wasn't for my advisor I would of done it before I got this job, is it the head office that send you letters of in work support and that?

Well that makes sense lol, sounds like them, so after 6 months they don't claim on your behalf anymore? As I said earlier in the post my advisor said she would stay I'm contact me but didnt, which I wasn bothered about as advisors have a lot if other things to worry about, I could of done with it though because I needed support but couldn't exactly ask the head office in another city ( Birmingham I think) so some weeks I was left really struggling while their getting £400+ for me,

I though advisors were just payed a set salary, ars they paid bonuses when 1 gets a job? And say a client leaves ther new job on as month or so, are they triggered back to their old advisor?

When your in a job 6 months and you get a letter for in work support is that off the head/ contact office or your old local office?

A 4th advisor??? How come your on your 4th? Did they throw you from pillow to post? I was there 7 months and had 1 advisor, I thought they changed your advisor every 6 months

How long do advisors normally last at the job? Heard they go through a lot of staff

There will be other people there in the same boat as you, it shouldnt be that bad i think, does anyone else know why an advisor would cancel one if these 2 hours prior to attending it?

    Ingeus

I was put on it because I failed a group activity for a job with clients at ingeus and a typical ingeus member if staff who loved himself, I didn't have then confidence at the time, and I suffer from anxiety, as much as i apologised the advisor was still annoyed, but I think it might be something with other people, I'm not %100 though

And what are the 'apprentice open days' ingeus have, any good?
  15. G4C389

    Ingeus

I got put on one of them by my advisor at the time who said she couldn't do it because she was off that week, (which she said about 5 times) and it was cancelled 2 hours before I was to be there for it, I. Took it as they couldn't be bothered

I see thanks, it's sounds hectic, the personal/vocational route ways stands out, at one stage I was ill and I called up to say I was on 2 appointments in a row, the first time I got a letter changing my appointment which was dated the day before, then the 2nd time I called up sick u got a letter referring me to a sub contractor, I told my advisor I already go to one if these if my own back and I was put back at ingeus for weekly appointments of interview teqnuques etc, which would of been more of a help to me anyway, she said they normally change your advisor at that stage (6 months attending) but she kept me with her, which baffled me! Would I have been sent to a sun contractor a bad thing because I called up sick to appointments?

I didn't mind my employer being contacted up to the 6 month mark then I just wanted to be left In peace, I also didnt mind my advisor taking the credit for it as she helped me when I first got the job, and without that help I would if been up the creek lol

Was it still a lot of use to me sending a withdrawn consent letter even though iv been working for 6 months? And I addressed mine to the manager will he inform my old advisor (even though i havnt attended for 6 months) or will the manager hust put it on the system for anyone logging on to my file? And do advisors really have 200 or so people to deal with? When I was there i heard between 80-100 if that, my appointments were always a day before every 2 weeks, and do they really get abuse on a daily basis? If so. Why exactly?

Whatever makes you feel best, personally take to your advisor and hit back, if you don't mind me asking what was your advisor exactly like?

I suffer from anxiety too, when I withdrawn consent I addressed it to the manager and as I said to Nimitz was worried a lot about how he/she would react to it (sulked like Nimitz said) and would it go on to my old advisor even though I hadn't been there for 6 months after finding work, I didnr get 1 of the JC manager either but she was ok about it when I handed if in, worried in case ignorus weren't though

I see what you mean yes, hygiene is vital, in the WP I seem more (ill choose my words carefully) drug or ex drug addicts, now I wouldn't want to share a pen with them yes, but I'm a respectable young lad and ALWAYS wash my hands, I know the advisor doesn't know that but if I was an advisor I wouldn't mind sharing a pen with respectable people, but please (flumps) don't take any offence to this but not sharing it with your husband? Hygienes hygiene yes but your husband? I see what you mean though, a pen is a personal item, you would eat off the same plate as your husband etc, but a pen, please dont take offence I don't mean it like that

I understand I did say it sounds stupid, just personally I felt that way

    Ingeus

    I understand, fair enough
  24. G4C389

1 thing that annoys me as much as it sounds stupid Is the way an advisor has there own pen in there hand prior to you signing it and they go right out of there way to get you another pen, like you've got a disease or something,

Well I withrdrawn consent mid November and I have been working since April, my dad who is on JSA handed a copy to the JC manager and she asked for my NI number and said shell take it from there, he said she wanted my number to discuss it with me but never called me, I'm disappointed not to have for a letter like, I said to the JC manager if it was just my old WP advisor making money on it then I could live with that because she gave me all the help I needed at the time, (although this job was all my own doing) but other than my advisor the other advisors i met were as parronising as could be, and no I never got a letter off either, pathetic arnt they?
