  1. Hi Laura. I second what asmilecostsnothing has said and thank you asmilecostsnothing for your response. I do want to make payments towards my account, but I can't trust these people. So I not sure what to do next. I think I'll call them next week and tell them I'm happy to pay X every month but only through Standing Order. Just remember that there are lots of us in the same position. It easy to think your the only one going through this.
  2. Hi this is my first post. Just thought I would post as to my dealing s with McCall Repo/MT Collect. I stupidly took out a payday load with CFO and even more stupidly replied to an email from them to extend my loan by another £120. Not reading the contract properly they added the £120 on top of the original loan amount plus the interest. So the interest had now almost doubled the over £300 per month. I couldn’t pay this, so being the grown up that I am I stuck my head in the sand. Anyway, I then get the same text message that everyone else has had say they are visiting my house and to call them. So I called and said I didn’t know who they were and in the end I said I could not pay anything until I get paid the following week. They asked for my card details which I said no to and left it that they would call me the following week. So I did some reading and found lots of people with the same thing. So when the called I said I would only make a payment once I had some confirmation of who they where as they had changed from McCall Repo to MT Collect in less than a week and I would call them the next day to arrange a token payment. They sent me an email to confirm the detail which was fine, until that evening when I get another text from them say the same as before more or less. The next day I get some missed calls on both my mobile and a message left on my work voice mail. When I called the number back I was surprised to find out it was CFO. So I asked why they had called and they said they hadn’t as the account has been sent to MT Collect. So I called MT Collect backup on the number on the text. I said that I was not happy getting another threatening text as I had spoken to them that day and that I am not going to deal with them. I then asked why they had added charges to the account. He told me this is due to them taking the account over from CFO. I said that they cannot charge me for this as they are the same company, to which he told me they were not. I then asked why they had just called me several times from a CFO phone number; He said this was because they are in the same build. Finally he admits they are the same company and then put the phone down. The good thing is if they try to take me to court over this, they haven’t got a leg to stand on. 1. They have sent threatening text messages and … 2. When they left the message on my work voice mail, our phone exchange saves the voice mail along with the Phone number details and emails it to me. So I have proof that they are the same company and are trying to con people out of money.
