  1. Employment and health issues. I started a new job back in August and I have accrued 12 sick days for various reasons. The most recent is two week for lower back spasms where I couldn't walk no more then a couple of steps, can't bend and in considerable amount of pain. I am due to see a doctor who deals with backs tomorrow as a stop gap between my referral to a back clinic. I am still struggling to stand or sit for long period of time and still need pain meds. The doctor may or may not advise me to return to work. I work in a nursery looking after toddlers and I do feel I'm putting myself and the children at risk, if a child falls over I can't bend to pick them up! Also long hours on my feet (10 hour shift) and very physical. I am concerned they will dismiss me and another employee has just been dismissed on the grounds of her health rather then supporting her, I am left anxious about my return, wondering if I'll make myself worse or if I'll even be supported by management. Makes me feel like jacking it in. Do I go on some kind of health related benefits even if it's for a short time? I don't even know what other job I could do, teaching early years has been my life for 20 years , Any help or advice appreciated

  3. Received several letters from intrum regarding a debt for jd Williams I know its mine however I have realised they have misspelt my surname and put me as a Mrs not a miss, could be a mistake I never noticed when I set up the account. Am I still liable?? What are my next steps?
  4. i have downloaded a form and i am going to try, worse they can say is no
  5. hi andy, filled the form out and going to write the letter and get it sent monday. Do i send the form to the courts or the claimant ( cabot ) or mortimer clarke solicitors (payment address ) Thanks
  6. thankyou i will give it a whirl, i rang them yesterday they explained since the form being sent the council have slapped an over payment of housing benefit and council tax benefiti i have gotta try and pay 300 in the next 2 months to pay c.t off and they want me to pay double my rent to clear arrears i voiced my concerns of trying to keep up with it all, they were not helpful in fact he was rude and tried to tell me a budget of 200 a month for clothes is too excessive , i agreed and explained when you got two children going through puberty especially my son at the min who has had 3 growth spurts in last 6 months, told him i have had to replace alot of clothing because of the growth spurts....apparently he dont care about that. he has put my account on hold for 28 days to send another /revised income expenditure form to include ct and hb over payment i did ask if he could cut the payment to £40 a month and he said no, he was a right arragant git to be honest. i I can afford the 80 but i am worried at the same time, i am going to ring the council monday and see if they will lower the payments maybe by half. i am still going to put the form in. Do i send a postal order or cheque for the 50?
  7. UPDATE I am fuming all, i had the letter back from the courts they have refused my offer of payment of £10 per month and have issued me an order to pay £80 a month which is going to kill me financially i am in two minds: pay it and struggle for 14 months or do something to bring the payment down but dont know how to do that any help/advice will be appreciated thanks

    housing

i think i may have put this in the wrong section, sorry I have an issue regarding housing, i currently have a 2 bedroom flat with a boy and a girl sharing a room. I have recently went on the bidding system and i usually come around 20-30 out of approx 100 bidders. The children are aged 12 and 10 and have both hit puberty, arguments all the time which is stressful on myself, normal teen stuff really but i feel it could be minimised if they had their own space, i suffer with depression as-well so sometimes it really doesn't help. I am on the mutual exchange but no one is interested. I cant afford private, would of done so along time ago if i could Is there anything i could do to speed things up? regard louise
