    Please help!

Please help! I Have an account with Lloyds £500.00 overdrawn all monies made up of unpaid direct debit charges And interest there on. There solicitors told me yesterday that they are going to get an attachment of earnings order to recover The moneys in the next week or so, I don’t know what to do about this. Please can some one give me some practical advise.
  6. Help required! I have recently received a claim against me from the small claims court from my water company. I have got behind with my payments in no small part due to bank charges etc. The thing is they have asked for £245.00 which I owe them + £20.00 court fee which is fair enough But on top of that they require a £50.00 solicitors fee. Now I might be wrong but I thought that you could not claim back solicitors costs when pursuing someone in the small claims court, could someone verify this form me? Many thanks wolfie
  7. thanks bookworm, sorry for being a dummy but what do you mean by SAR? also would I be right in saying I should do the following. as you said write to them disputing the amount owed. should I then do the DPA letter or wait for them to comeback to me I could really do with buying myself some time so I can get back on my feet as it were. once I know the exact amount I think I should write to them asking them to deduct this from the total amount owing and then sit back argue the toss and wait till they comply I don't see the point in going the 1st letter and LBA route as I am just trying to reduce the debt and not get money back from them what do you think? to any body else reading this your comments would be greatly appreciated regards wolfie
  8. I have had a cap one card for about 3 years and just recently I have been having a lot of trouble with my finances (last 10 months or so) I owe them around £1,300.00 but I reckon that in the 3 years that the unlawful charges will have totalled around £400.00 they told me last month that if they did not receive a payment of £250. 00 by the 10/06/06 that they would default me and pass the debt to a collection agency, couldn’t afford they payment so I guess the default is on the way any advice as where to go from here would be greatly appreciated.
  9. well done biscuit! congratulations. its good to see people are getting there money back, lloyds really seam to be trying to spin these claims out as long as possible don't they. this should be a confidence booster for anybody wavering at the moment. were you after them for a lot of money or just a small amount? regards wolfie
  10. Hi princes, I have followed your claim with interest have you got any further ?
  11. Got my standard “David just” fob off letter last night so its letter before action in the post Today!
  12. **Update** Well finally got my charge information and have calculated that they owe me the best part of £2K I am posting personally my first letter requesting repayment at the bank today. Another step closer to getting my money back!
  13. The phone number for the copy statment unit is 0845 0707 124 best of luck.
  14. ** up date ** still waiting for my account information so today I rang there copy statement unit who’s telephone number was on the last correspondence they sent me, spoke to a very nice lady who informed me they were no longer dealing with DPA requests because they have been inundated with these requests to the extent that they have set up a special unit to deal with them in Shelby or somewhere they took my details and they said they would ring me back today to let me know what was happening I won’t hold my breath though! When I was speaking to here she kept referring to my request as a claim to which I pointed out to here that I hadn’t made a claim I just want my account information to which I am legally entitled to. I get the general impression from reading various threads that Lloyds are keeping the majority of there employees in the dark over the charges situation. It will be interesting to see what tactics this “special” unit employ in the coming weeks no doubt more stalling and scare tactics.
  15. The lovely Lloyds did me for £315 in January which meant I couldn’t honour a number of direct debits And hay-presto another £210 in February which was really helpful of them! That’s £525 in two months of MY money unlawfully siphoned from my account. No wonder they are dragging there heals with my DPA request.
