I use http://www.0870alternative.com They seem to always have the numbers I require and it saves a fortune as they have alternatives for 0871 and 0844 numbers as well as 0870 and 0845 numbers. on a couple of occasions I have even found alternatives to the 090 numbers which cost pounds per minute! Also layout is really easy to use

If you are lucky, maybe they can install it in the loft, so no drilling walls. May be worth exploring that avenue -
Freeview boxes and Virgin Media.

Yes, I woudl say call them. Not sure if there are any decent alternatives... Wy do u just not use a normal antenna? What I mean by that is, why not get one installed, they are pretty cheap if you DIY. Also if you live in a good signal area, an internal antenna may suffice. -
Sky or Virgin
bargainhunter replied to pompeyfaith's topic in Technical Computer/IT/Console/SatNav Questions
dilemma, virgin is best for broadband, but sky is the one I would recommend for TV -
I would say write a letter and explain the situation. Unless you have a new for old policy, you may be stuck.

Nat west offer free cover forr accidental damage and extended warranty on their gold account. It is the only account that I know that does this and has been incredible. Recommend you try this in future For now, your only hope is the frendly techie that works with u :- -
Computer not booting up ?
bargainhunter replied to maroondevo52's topic in Technical Computer/IT/Console/SatNav Questions
Yes, sometimes USB devices can cause this, but ould also pont to a wiring issue on a self build machine -
I believe there i no way out of a contract hire agreement as a soe trader or even as a consumer. Try CAB. If you can aafford it, ask the buy back price of the vehicle. or see if you can sell it and get enough money back to pay off more of the agreement and your outlay

Yes, as above, depends how mucch value the car is worth with the FSH. the difference is then what ou can negotiate on. Do ensure however that it has had a mileage checked to ensure mileage is genuine, as missing service history/documents could be hiding a clocked vehicle. Experian and HPI should provide this service for peace of mind

Whilst this incident was unfortunate, the rotary car washes are actually better for your paintwork if maintained. The handwash places do tend to throw the sponges on the floor... when they miss the bucket. All it takes is one little stone and you have swirls all over your paintwork... I had this and I made them tcutthe whole car and remove the scratches. Luckily I noticed it and the scratches were very small.

I would ask the car wash company who their insurer is and also raise a claim through their insurer
