  1. All sorted now guys, I had a call this morning and was offered a full refund for the duff vehicle. thanks again for all your advice.
  2. Thanks guys for the replys. Some more info that I have remembered now I have calmed down a tad. The car was in my possession for less than 19 hours and was only physically used for around 40 minutes before going into limp mode. The dealer was made aware asap and I dropped it off at 10am this morning. I dropped the keys off and made it clear to the guy I wanted a refund as It was not fit for use, to this he replied we don't do refunds, we will fix it. I told him again I wanted a refund as no one expects a car to die within an hour of use. This is when he said no I reminded him about the small claims court and that was when he stated he knows the law inside out, and to take it to the small clames and wait 6 months I left the car and he said he will call at lunch time tomorrow with his decision. The dealer is ocs Ltd orchard car sales, The registered owner via company's house is Scott Alexander martin, and goes by the name of Alex Martin. They have one yard and a sales forecourt with about 40ks worth of assets at both places. And has a registered home address not far away. Also when The car went Into limp mode there was no engine management light on, so I Don't know how he is to repair it as there will be no fault code stored when put on a diagnostics so not 100% sure what went wrong. Regards To You all
  3. Afternoon all, I purchased a 2007 vauxhall vectra yesterday from a dealer I paid 2795 for it, it had just passds it's mot that day with no advisory. 40 minutes late I was on the m4 and the car went into limp mode I called the dealer and he said to turn it off and back on again this worked for about 2 minutes and then into limp mode. I got recovered home and today took the car back to the dealer and asked for a refund as I have no confidence in the car anymore. The dealer was very abrupt and said they don't do refunds they will trying fix the problem I told him again I don't want the car as it's not fit for purpose, he told me he knows the law inside and out and to take it to the small claims court and wait 6 months. How I remained calm I don't know as I wanted to snap his pencil shaped neck. I left the car with him and told him I refuse the sale and want refunding. Can any of you guys help in what I can do further please as we need a car asap for work and with a disabled person it helps to get about. Sorry forgot to say this was a cash sale.
