  1. Hello Regal again! Unfortunately they have a phone number and could use it to continually call you lets hope they do not. Always deal with any debt collecting agency by recorded letter and keep copies of all correspondence never give a home phone number if you have one. I would strongly advise an appointment/interview with your local citizens advice bureau or you could call the consumer credit counseling service for advice/help etc. I personaly would not enter into any agreement with regal until you have expert advice on your debt problem, try to find out what is going on by contacting the creditor and the other agency regarding this debt.:???:And let regal know by letter your intentions. Good luck.
  2. :|You have to follow the complaints procedure as instructed by ebay it is easy to find out how to do this on the site, but if you need to speak to someone at ebay then be as clear as possible. As you generaly deal with an overseas call centre and all the Problems we all know they can pose.:roll:Good luck.
  3. So sorry to hear about our old (friends!!) again this shower turn up like the proverbial bad penny a shame they have your telephone number you may find yourself being bombarded with phone calls.I would Only deal with them by Post and Always send letters by Recoded delivery, get help and advice as soon as possible contact the consumer credit counselling service or citizens advice see if they can help, they usualy can.Do Not let them bully you/threaten you, you have rights and they know it.Good luck.
  4. Having sold items on ebay and had a couple of scams pulled on me then tried to sort things out as a seller, you it seems from my experience have no rights at all (the buyer always wins). Use Ebay at your peril! it is not as reliable as some would have you believe.Secondly the charges are becoming expensive for such a site, as is postal charges.Again Seller Beware.
  5. :jaw:I have recently noticed a company called CHECKSURE based in the UK this company amongst it's other information collecting/selling activities, holds details on ltd companys, sole traders, etc,....Beware for i have found that it has Incorrect items on it's files about a ltd company i once ran although i have contacted them about this Incorrect information i was not encouraged by the limp, vague response. They promised to look into the Misinformation on their web site after i gave them the acountants details who wound up the company....You may want to see what they say about YOU!!!.
  6. I certainly agree that credit reference agencies do not investigate complaints in depth and seem only to willing to listen to one side of the story, there should be a credit ombudsman who can take up complaints investigating in depth. This ombudsman has to have real power in controlling CRA'S until the matter is fully examined also DCA'S who just ignore your rights and the law when it suits. The whole buisiness of credit reference agencies and debt collecting agencies is out of control and needs tightning up.Certainly a full review of the complaints proceedures and customer rights needs bringing up to date, not the unbalanced biased in favour of DCA'S AND CRA'S ETC, that exists at the moment.:-xI have heard only to often of the FSA AS BEING USELESS AND TOOTHLESS!!.
  7. :)Sorry to hear of your problem I contacted the consumer credit counselling service with my complaint then went on to get advice from the citizens advice bureau.I think in your case you can get free legal help via the C.A.B. I would point out that the bullying tactics did continue from Regal. Do not give them any information until you receive qualified help, and keep a record of all correspondence and telephone calls. You can get a credit check done on your self easily over the Internet or by post... look at experian or equifax sites.
  8. :mad:Regal credit again!, I recently received correspondence from this bunch with the usual bullying tactics to which i replied in the proper manner as per CCCS instructions.Beware this company will not give out information on it's banking to enable you to pay by Standing Order... which is MUCH SAFER for YOU!.Do not be bullied into accepting a Direct Debit payment arrangement with them. According to the CCCS BY LAW you are entitled to the banking information to set up a Standing Order. Contact the Financial Ombudsman with your complaint. And be very wary of what Regals operatives tell you, treat as misinformation!! or Bull thingy....One last item it is very easy to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service by telephone or Internet. ..Since i posted this item the financial ombudsman are now writing to Regal over this matter.
