My partner has today received a letter from Wilkin Chapman notifying of a 'Notice Of Change of Solicitor' regarding an unpaid judgement/order obtaied on 5th July 2012, for £1365.16 and wanting to agree payment terms for this debt... . They have given us 7 days notice of applying for an Attachment Of Earnings with the court and a whole raft of forms to fill in and return to them regarding her personal financial inforrmation We have no idea of what this 'debt' is, who it is from or anything about a court order back in July 2012, there is no mention of which court this order was issued from either.... Help!

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll not ring them. No idea what debt they're supposedly chasing me for, just got a reference number that means nothing at all.... Ah well, thought life had been too peaceful just lately...

Got to work this evening to find a message from one of the girls in the office to say Capquest have been ringing my employer to tell them to get me to ring them - are they allowed to do this, my employer isn't impressed with me because they are ringing him? I don't know what this is about other than they left him with a 'case number' and a telephone number telling me to ring them.. . Need to know what line to take with them when I call them Many thanks.

I've been working for my present company for about 14 months and am weekly paid. except for the last 2 weeks none of us have received any wages, according to our employer he has cash flow difficulties. We were told we were to be paid yesterday, but our wages never appeared. Like everyone, I have bills to pay, rent and council tax to pay and food to buy, none of which i can currently do.... Meanwhile, I have to keep working not knowing when or even if I'm going to get paid. Needless to say, I cannot carry on very long like this, after the end of this week I'll not even be able to afford the fuel to dive to work. How do I stand on just walking out on the company and signing on, is this likely to be regarded as deliberately leaving the job, or what other options do I have? The company concerned is a very small limited company which apparently has always had a reputation of living beyond it's means.... Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

I picked up a template regarding vulnerable person elsewhere on the forums and that has duly been sent by recorded delivery. bailiffs have just been on and are ignoring the comments about a vulnerable person and giving us until Friday to raise the money when they will return.... Told us to get a loan to cover the amount outstanding or borrow it off our family or neighbours.... Bruddy cheek!
