  4. I bought it from Digital Direct who told me Panasonic were dealing with the particular fault that I have.
  5. I have a Panasonic Plasma TV which has developed a fault while still under manufacturers warrenty. Panasonic customer services have told me to contact the authorized repairer in my area. They have then told me they will order the relevant part to do the repair but I will have to deliver the set to them myself. The set is a sizeable 42" screen and I only have a small family car, I always thought a plasma had to be kept upright as well. Is this fair to expect me to transport the set and potentialy damage it in transit?
  6. Dont worry I think thats just their standard procedure, they paid me in full a few days after saying this.
  7. Posted original letter on 6th Feb 2006. Second letter on 21st Feb. Had papers served by County Court on 12th March. Settled in full on 17th March.
  8. As far as sending case to court and having papers served (see litigation in progress)
  9. I have had all charges, interest and court costs refunded (£1385), I would urge anyone to press ahead and claim. Good Luck to all. Thanks to everyone at Bank Action Group for advice, help and support.
  10. Has anyone had any success claiming against the Halifax or anything positive to report. When does the 14 days that the court allows actually begin.
  11. I have just received what I suppose is the standard letter of reply saying they will consider my complaints and make a decision within 4wks. Do I wait or press ahead with a threat of court action?
  12. I have spoken with Halifax customer relations today (17.02.06) all I got was a woman wittering on about how all banks charge fees and it was all in the terms & conditions of the account when I first opened it. Also it wasnt up to them to say whether they felt the charges were excessive. I was then put through to the business centre (after being cut off) who basically said the same thing and offered to put me back through to customer relations and offered me a goodwill gesture of paying back ONE charge and one only. They also said that if the charges were not errors by the bank they could not be refunded. Do I now need to take the matter a stage further?
