  1. post #1 says he had a heart attack, it does not say if it was a terminal one. Thats why i asked.
  2. is the husband still alive? surely he would be next of kin if he is.
  3. What is the error message OE brings up? Is it a relaying denied message? if so you need to change the account settings to log in to the the outgoing mail server (smtp)
  4. We had a problem years ago with filters on a Dyson. It was caused by using carpet freshener (powder type like shake n vac) As soon as we stopped using it the problem was solved. Have laminate now so not a problem.
  5. Well as you own the "house and road" i would also assume you own the tree you hit as well. Was the tree in the road? Have you never noticed that tall thing with lots of branches growing outide your house before?
  6. If you look on the website it CLEARLY says you may need an extension cable if you want the modem and hub further away. I have had Infinity for around a month and its great. I went from a 2mb connection to 26mb and i have 8mb upload.
  7. didnt you take out insurance when sending high value goods?
  8. why not call or pop into the shop and ask?
  9. why have they lost the plot? If you had to activate the phone yourself it would have still cost you wouldnt it?
  10. are you booking direct with virgin atlantic or through a travel agent?
  11. why is argos at fault? The buyer entered the wrong address and argos have delivered the product to the address given at time of purchase. You cant blame them for your own mistakes.
  12. your contract is with the retailer and not the manufacturer
  13. that model is soo old i would waste any money trying to repair it. Its not very bright (1200L) and has a poor resolution. Not ideal for a home cinema
  14. who said the car broke down? this "return" trip was allways intended to be just a return home. the OP had no intention of a return trip and this is why they they still face these problems. The OP tried his/her luck and it backfired
  15. go to the site yourself, make a dummy booking for a single trip one way and then price a return trip. you will be suprised. The ferries have operated this way for ages the same as airlines. Return tickets are much cheaper than 2 one way tickets and sometimes even cheaper than a single one way ticket. The OP was trying his luck to get around it. (hence the comment) lesson learned.
  16. so your going to plead ignorance and also tell them you were trying to "get around" their T&C's you stated this very early on in the thread which can only lead me to believe you tried to deceive the company from the moment you booked your ticket.
  17. finally................ It IS a RETURN journey. Just cos you can pick sailing times and dates it does not mean you booked 2 singles. Check your confirmation to see what it says and next time you try to pull a fast one do some research first....
  18. YES they would. The seat would be re-sold. Its a RETURN journey not 2 singles. Why was the OP trying to "get round" the T&C's in the first place? Perhaps because he knew what would happen.
  19. would you expect easyjet to ring to tell you your flight home from spain had been cancelled if you never checked in and flew out to spain in the first place? By not turning up for the booking to go from folkstone you in effect cancelled it yourself.
  20. T&C's state "ALL journeys MUST originate from Folkstone" Its simple. I cant see you getting anywhere with a complaint. The terms are clear and you broke them.
