  1. Just wondered what the average charge for eraly termination with BT was? Also Utility Warehouse are covering this cost: From 1st October 2010 Utility Warehouse will reimburse domestic BT customers that are under contract for their phone line rental only any early termination fee that they may incur by switching their phone line rental to the Utility Warehouse.
  2. I heard Tiscali are totally being scrapped. Has anyone with Tiscali hand any problems since the change? Or is it a nice smooth transfer, With no extra costs. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8039584.stm
  3. Well there's not enough Green Energy to meet the Demand. And the UK is supposed to be going back to nuclear power!
  4. 3 years sounds like a long time to have problems with Elcetric & Gas. You can change supplier roughly every 31 days, If you wanted to. Just take you pick, There's quite a few!
  5. As I understand you can't change supplier if you have outstanding debts. *But this has to be a debt over some time i.e 6 months outstanding £423.53 Electric bill Pay the £423.53 off and your free to change supplier again. You can't be stopped for a debt from last month or quater(Has to be fairly old debt) -Please note, I'm not 100% on time scale of Debt, as they may have changed the regualtions again. Hope it works out well for you, Sounds stressful!
  6. Thanks for your response. I myself have worked for many different Utility and Telcom companys. And i've had a lot of training. I agree it must be very hard for new people to get started with any Energy & Utility Sales companies. And members of the public tend to be much more stressful ,Than business customers to sell to:( I used to sell contracts for good energyRenewable energy supplier Good Energy provides green energy across the UK. The prices where higher, But they were a very fair company compared to some of the more cut-throat brown energy suppliers. And if anyone goes with them now, I won't make a penny! I'll just feel good. British Gas has some good deals on energy saving light bulbs too. Got 5 for 20p at local Supermarket(British Gas offer) And there Bolier cover is probably worth a look too. I would say that U.W are your standard Brown energy supplier at the moment. But i'll be looking to get the Green options in as soon as possible. Best Regards, Paul
  7. -Just wondered if you have any updates? As A domestic customer for Gas & Electric, You should be able to change supplier every 31 days(In theroy) *I joined U.W August 22nd 2009 as A Distributor and Customer, And things are going great:) -And who do you use now?
  8. -I was talking more about Business Contracts & Certain Electric companies. Also the Humans are not conected to the same Computer systems either. Or have different time scales. Thats why its hard to get A straight answer, As there will probably be more than one. Like most things in Life. -Maybe try ofgem or energywatch(if there still going)
  9. -Just keep paying regular. -Try and avoid having another card meter(pre-pay) put in again. -I believe you can't change supplier if you have an outstanding debt. -As it gets blocked on the computer systems, When transferring. Most of the transfers are for Electric & Gas are done by computer. Which means its tuff for people who really need to save.
  10. Check the Unit rate for electric i.e 0.05,13.01,10.6,etc Also check if there are different rates for different days and times: Weekdays,Nights,Weekends, etc Chack if you have a standing charge. How big is the place you live in?, You should have Profile class 01,02 & maybe 03 for domestic usage. If you have 04,05,06,07,08, then your on at much higher Eac(estimated usage. 11. -Well i'm just going of memory ,Of and my own experiences. As pre-paid meters in most cases are for collecting debts, outstanding balances, bad payers, etc. So they will have a progamed amount in them, to take of a debt. -But this may vary, And i'm no expert. BBC NEWS | UK | Pre-pay meter users 'due rebate' Maybe this page can help. There's no way for me to give you a break down of Charges. As like any machine/computer, it depends on who setup/programmed it.
