  1. Wow Kate that's great! Really pleased for you. Checked my post last night and nothing This is really pi**ing me off now. All I have now are statements from 28/12/00 -> 03/10/02 which they sent last friday. Where are the rest!?!?!?! Going to call them again now... Watching for answer to above also! Pixl
  2. Recieved last Friday - One tatty ripped brown envelope containing only two yrs statements (Had asked for full 6 yrs). Don't know which they are, DPA request ones or ones requested by phonecall. Both £10 and £5 taken from my account? Will see what posty has left today... Now having problems with spreadsheets (hate em!) as dont seem to add up interest/cumulative amounts when you insert rows (from old statements) - anyone else had this prob?
  3. Hi, Just looked at my balance and both £10 and £5 were taken today. Ohhhhh makes me so mad the sneaky rats. Well thats that now, balls (and heads) rolling... Have a good week end, The Mixer x
  4. Hi Kerry Take a look at my thread regarding delivery. Snatchwest are playing silly buggers with Royal Mail. Start you 40 day DPA request countdown 2 days from posting (assuming it was recorded) as thats when it was delevered basically. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=86108#post86108 Onwards and upwards
  5. Just thort I'd drop this in from Jonni2bad (Moderator) as it was IMPORTANT to our situation... Thanx Jonni Quote: Originally Posted by Pixlmixer My Recorded (1st class next day service) DPA of the 06/06/06 STILL has not been signed for. And never will be. 6. Hi, Have decided to see how things go with NW first before starting this one. And I'm broke! Two court fees etc are beyond my means at the mo regretably... I'll be back...
  7. Hi Pete, Why does that not suprise me! As you say its their system... They do seem to appling delay tactics here, especially as we have now been informed by them that they are inundated with DPA requests etc. Guess this whole business is getting a real headache for them lol. I would sugest that you request DPA (recorded) for the full SAR info but also follow up with the phone call (see my thread) so you can at least begin work on your spread sheet. My Recorded (1st class next day service) DPA of the 06/06/06 STILL has not been signed for.
  8. Doh!!!!! Well I hope they don't miss anything out as it's not a full lega SAR disclosure but hey - well done that man. Good for the newcommers too.
  9. Hi All, Time I got down to Cap One. Prepared my DPA req. Can I ask them to take the £10 payment from my account? It has been closed down and I am repaying them on the drible through The Credit Consumer Councellin Service? If not who do I make a Snatchwest cheque out to as thats the onley acc I have barley alive? Many thanks
  10. Hi Kale and welcome By both letters what exactly do you mean? ie... DPA Request? Prelim Letter? LBA?
  11. Thanks Joe, makes sense. Just phoned and requested statements for a fiver. They said 10 to 14 days by which, hopfully, DPA etc will have been sorted out and I can get on with suing them
  12. Thanks Kate This is madness and a waste of our time. The thread below is by theauthor. He called CS department on 0845 6052605 and just asked for his last 6 yrs statments and they sent them in the post within a week for a fee of £5.00 http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=77943#post77943 Going to give it a couple more days then phone them and sod their delay tactics. Hurumph (arms folded)...
  13. Hi, Nailbiting stuff! Avidly watching. I still have not had my statments yet as sent off DPA request 06/06/06 recorded and it seems to have been 'lost' so think will take your approach and just blumin well phone them! GOOD LUCK
  14. Hi Sigma We seem to be having a bit of a problem with that one ourselves. see my thread... http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=9463 __________________________________________ 6/6/06 DPA sent Recorded. Still awaiting delivery.........? 08/08/06 Letter sent to Local MP
  15. As of 9:55 still none the wiser. Think Kates plan to hand deliver to a branch is the best plan here. As has been mentioned it's a pathetic way of dealing with the situation by Snatchwest Also watching for the cheques to be deducted from our accounts is another one to watch. Thing I don't get is why Royal Mail don't seem to know whats going on. I'll call them now... The nice man said they have NO idea where the letters are. (Kate - he also was shocked at the proposition of a special cage for large organisations been handled by an interveneing security company and completly denies this!) He can't tell wether they are with Royal Mail or Natwest but sugested that because of the probable bulk involved it's prob Natwest tho he did say if letters were presented and not signed for they would be on their way back by now... All we can do he said for the mean time is check daily (updated every 24 hrs @2pm) and wait. Any sugestions from the Mods greatly appreciated, could this really be Snatchwest's way of dealing with our claims now and will hand delivering to a branch guarentee delivery? Thanks __________________________________________ 6/6/06 DPA sent Recorded. Still awaiting delivery.........? 08/08/06 Letter sent to Local MP
  16. Thanks Bovvered, I was wandering that too and well done for asking Pete. As you can see there are a few of us having a problem with recorded DPA requests not been signed for - 7 days now since posting mine. Royal Mail don't seem to have an answer and we are suspecting that they will be returned.
  17. They're all bureaucrats!!!
  18. Thanx Kate, Still nothing as at 11:55pm, keep looking between reading threads - this is so addictive lol. Read here they seem to take about 6 days and have mental image of receptionist sitting under mountain of letters, Royal Mail lorry outside, smoke comming from his pen (I hope anyway). So am not going to loose it till then. I called Royal mail... They say this is unusual as should be next day for 1st class 'Signed for'. They wont deliver and wait for signature, has to be straight away or they return item refused. The lady had no explination and sad would be 72 hours at the most then would be sined for or returned. Hmmmm? She also said that internet was updated daily at 2pm so will stop looking untill after then. If neither happens then after 15 days they will investigate but not until then If you wish to call them and track your own letters the No. is 0845 7223344 but be prepared for a lot of robot talk! Not much help but at least we now know the prorcol.
  19. OK Sumith, Read the FAQ's then all the natwest threads and you'l see what you need to do... Happy reading
  20. BTW First Direct took my Father's house off him when his partner ran off with all the funds...
  21. Well I guess they're all the same and that's why we're here. Point is A basic account is abou as safe as you can get - if you keep in the clear - no overdraught or extra card facilities and as an alternative to Snatchwest, Abbey were recommended by Consumer credit Counceling Service. Obviously tho and very important, DONT go to Bank of Scotland as they are Natwest's sister bank.
  22. Hi All, While catching up on posts just wanted to ask if anyone having same problem...? My DPA request has still not been signed for. I get the "Information on your item is not yet available online" message from Royal Mail site after 5 days now (I was kinda expecting a next day service). Was sent 1st class on the 06/06/06 so it 'should' be there surley Congrats for mountainofdebts and rbrears. That's what I like to see __________________________________________ 6/6/06 DPA sent Recorded. Still awaiting delivery 08/08/06 Letter sent to Local MP
  23. Hi Pete Would recomend Abbey basic Acc. - You can always upgrade later to a std Acc. They were sugested to my by the Consumer credit Counceling Service also as an alternative to Snatch west. They are very helpfull and you don't have to give a reason why you want to open an account or show them any balances from Snatwest accounts - just show them a front slip from a statement with your address and acc details. Good luck The Mixer
  24. Hi Kerry, Just a quick note... My DPA Requesr has still not been signed for after posting on the 6/6/06 so am concerned too as clock does not start ticking til they officially recieve the request :-| Is this a new aproach by Snatchwest? Anyone else having this problem keep us posted...
