Keep an eye on this. There are two prediction models for Sols sunspot/output, and the older one was somewhat lacking

The new one (already linked) is predicting something very different and very dangerous to us, and the data so far is supporting the new prediction model.

World Data Center for the production, preservation and dissemination of the international sunspot number.

Taken a year - but the mainstream is getting there

The sun is quickly approaching a major peak in solar activity. Experts warn it could potentially begin by the end of 2023, years before initial predictions...

  2. France just implementing control of its borders as per its national and intentional agreements and Frosts own Brexit negotiations isn't it?

Clearly [edited - HB] Frost utterly fails to grasp the concept of what he negotiated demanded.

.. err - on a fraction of a seconds further thought - thats over estimating Frosts morals and intelligence

    - hes just dog whistling.

  3. I see the real reasons behind the asia-pacific 'trade' deal which is only going to add about 0.0008% to UK gdp AT BEST

    - less than the hit to the UKs banana imports isnt it? let alone the 4% hit to GDP from Brexit?

    - Its like the changes to laws putting them in the banana republic misisters hands rather than the courts and parliament;

    - it makes the UK EVEN more incompatible with trade deals, let alone membership of the EU

its all to create an environment where its almost impossible for any future government to create worthwhile trade deals with the EU.

  4. Former President Donald Trump called on supporters to descend on the Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday to protest – as he is on the brink of being indicted for his role in paying off adult movie star Stormy Daniels.

Some of those supporters did show up. But they were outnumbered by demonstrators who support the indictment of the former president, a Manhattan native who achieved just over 12 per cent of the vote in his former home borough in the 2020 election.

The demonstrators there called for Mr Trump’s arrest and chanted “No one is above the law.” I

t was not, some observers mused, the type of protest Mr Trump was likely hoping for.

  5. “the Committee did not identify a single document which suggested that I was informed or warned by anyone that any event at No. 10 was contrary to the Rules or Guidance”

So does that mean that every person who was fined for breaching lockdown rules, and where there is some indication that someone/anyone said or maybe implied  it wouldn't breach the rules, gets their fine returned and conviction squashed ... plus compensation for false conviction?

    ..

Although in Johnsons case it was a recommended spin line to take on the events  wasn't it

lets not forget real people were told they couldn't talk to neighbors over a fence or go for a socially distanced walk with a friend.

  6. Boris 'the Liar' Johnson says that Parliament was mislead, but it wasn't intentionally his fault

... as everyone knew he is a compulsive liar, so how was he ever to expect anyone to believe him?

Mind you, he also claims that his 'advisors' assured him he wasn't breaking his own laws ...

... as its widely known Johnson doesn't think any laws apply to him - so they would have been telling him the truth even if he is lying about them saying it.

as an aside - are these 'advisors' Johnson refers still in government?

    If so, why?

Surely they should be sacked without compensation for rank incompetence

    .. err like Cress was(n't) ...

  7. and on a very related note,

When is Cress going to be censured and her pension and golden parachute clawed back for presiding over:

Britain’s largest force accused of ‘institutional racism, misogyny and homophobia’ – but commissioner Mark Rowley refuses to use the term

Let alone covering up for Johnson

  8. Laura Newsborg:

Thank you for explaining that Sir, and we at the ministry of truth will ensure that those Labour types are required to prove differentltly without allowing them to use any of the video or pictorial evidence - which of course is all from other times and places.

    - as apparently the new leaders dont want embarrassment on The Party or Themselves either.

  9. Interesting that in JKHunts budget

    * £1b cost to other taxpayers in pension and loophole associated inheritance tax benefits for the richest are being implemented straight away

    BUT

    * The extra childcare hours are 'hoped to be implemented by 2025 - despite no apparent measures other than rhetoric to increase the industry even by then - quite the opposite)

Good job theres local elections due else the energy cap would be gone and everyone would be paying vast amounts more into the coffers of energy company record profits more immediately rather than than cost being put on the taxpayers (see first item) credit card eh?

but dont worry - the poops removing financial constraints on Financiers bonuses and abuse limitation laws will steady the banking market eh?

  10. The UK’s tax burden will hit its highest level since the Second World War as £30bn of stealth taxes take effect in the wake of Jeremy Hunt’s Budget. The increase in the income tax bill is equivalent to raising the basic rate by 4p, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility.

As Hunt implements tax cuts for the richest of the rich:

The richest earners will be able to escape paying inheritance tax by passing on their pension pots to their children under a loophole created by Jeremy Hunt’s changes to pension allowances, experts say. “Sadly, these measures will not benefit younger savers or those on low and middle incomes who are struggling to maintain even the minimum pension contributions amidst the cost of living crisis,” one said.

You are unlikely to see any benefit if you put less than £40,000 pounds per year into your pension

Haven't we asked you and consniff to condemn anti Israeli and anti Palestinian atrocities, as I have ...

.. and you didn't? Just happy to use others honestly held beliefs dishonestly - to promote division?

I'm sure Mosley would be proud of you, although a Brown shirt would perhaps better suit your rhetoric.

  12. Perhaps referring more directly to the title of this thread, and for those who have been following the US Silicon bank collapse and the fallout in other nations including the UK

The following is PRECISELY what the UK conservatives are doing, deregulating the financial institutions putting them back on the platform they were on before the financial collapse.

Perhaps worth noting hat Biden has said the US taxpayer will NOT carry the can (directly) and that the banking systems will carry te cost and the directors fired if its within his power to to it in the US

Likely certain that won't be the case in the UK.

    NEWREPUBLIC.COM

This is what happens when you deregulate checks on financial institutions.

Wonder how much the UK taxpayer is funding the HSBC 'takeover' of the UK arm?
