  1. Hi there, i have a bad credit rating (Though through no fault of my own) I am 19 years old, in full time employment and living with parents, i need to borrow some money from a company to fund a motorcycle to get me to my new job as busses are expensive and time consuming. I am looking for roughly £1000-£1500 and i just wondered if anybody knows where i can get a good deal and be accepted, despite having a poor credit rating (Fault of Natwest, who defaulted me illegally, no letters, no notice, no nothing, bank account was in dispute then default applied) Please help as i need a motorcycle for work asap or i may lose my job and find myself in more money trouble. Thanks all, Daryl.
  2. These idiots keep ringing me up. I never gave them my phone number, just applied for a loan online with Abbey and Capital One.
  3. Hi everyone, i have just decided, i am going to quit smoking, i will do this by the time my daughter is born in Early July. Follow me step by step as i quit smoking, i will try to include some advice and things to avoid doing if i can. Help everyone out. I am 19 years old and believe it or not, started smoking in the Summer of 2002 (Aged 12!) I started off by smoking the odd fag here and there, by 14 i remember having to buy 10 a day and that would do. Aged 16, legal, i was smoking 20 a day, parents finally accepted i smoked and whilst i wasn't allowed to smoke in the house, i was still allowed to smoke all the same. Aged 17 started a new college, tried to cram crafty fags in everywhere, probably smoking 30 a day at that point. Now, aged 19 years old, 40 a day, not good at all. And i will usually smoke more when i am not busy or when people are around. (It's not a social thing or trying to be cool, it's just how it is) So... I am going to cut down and quit, starting on Valentine's Day, where from then on, i am strictly only allowed to buy 20 a day, saving me a total of £35 a week. (That will sort my Natwest problems out!!!) By the end of March i aim to cut down to the point of where i have one every hour i am awake (8am - 11pm = Roughly 15 a day) By the end of April i will halve the number of fags i smoke during the day (Excluding first and last ones of the day =8) By the end of June i will try and just smoke one in the morning and one more another time during the day, this will be a two week thing and will stop the day after my daughter is born!!! I will promise my daughter that. Thanks for reading all, will keep you posted.
  4. Thanks for the reply on my post Millie, i think the content of the letter they send out is misunderstanding and the jargon they use is put in place to put people off taking it any further, if you can manage without your £300 (No unarranged overdraft, defaults etc) then i'd just wait till things are sorted in High Court, which seems to be dragging, however, if you are like me and have been defaulted (They did this illegally by not sending out prior warning or default notice, just put default charge on account and Experian say i have a default against me) then i'd pursue the case. I just think Natwest have treated me rather unfairly. I lost my job, got into a bit of a mess, had a DD that i never authorised and this all started, notified the bank about the unauthorised DD and they told me to follow it up. Grr i am going all the way with my case. I AM in financial hardship. The idiots just need to look at my banking and the amount of unpaid DD's to see that.
  5. Yes if you are under 18 you can call your branch and they will transfer you to someone, just explain the situation and they will repay it. UNDER 18 EVERYONE.
  6. I agree with Scott. Just wait a little. Or write a letter asking why they disagreed with your decision.
  7. Now this is a game i play with mates and my missus, we pick one company each day, not allowing ourselves to steal eachothers previous companies, and see when news of them hits the press. So with Woolies gone, Zaavi selling DVD's at 20% off, and PC World rumoured to be struggling... Question is... When will the next company go? And the even bigger question is... Who will that company be? I believe it will be a large DIY retailer... Possibly B&Q. (Remember this is all fun, i've had a bad day today and don't want B&Q's solicitors on my back, this is just a game, see who gets it right, simple)
  8. Haha i agree, Tony obviously never liked Gordon, even though they both joined Labour at roughly the same time (I think i saw on tele) it is clear, i could just about stand His Tonyness. I think if Tony had've stayed in power and the "Credit Crunch" would still have incurred, then we'd know how we'd get out of this mess. To be honest, credit crunch only happened because we as the British people (And Gordon) talked ourselves into it by fretting because Northern Rock went bust. If people continued to borrow then house prices would have continued to rise.
  9. Lol nice one, i had an abbreviation on a Tesco reciept that made me roll. Will have to find the reciept out and scan it through. Something about sex.
  10. Will have to admit, Natwest WERE good, but now they are part of RBS... Bad.
  11. British Gas, rob-dogging idiots, bet it cost in excess of £2k for a boiler swap did it not?
  12. Somebody must have been growing. UV lights use alot of power, bloody hell they probably had loads. Can't help i am afraid.
  13. Find yourself a solicitor mate, they will write on behalf of you.
  14. Yeah you can, i think best account is a step account because you will never get charged, though you cannot have an overdraft either. They are (Edit).
  15. Okay thanks for the reply anyway Vin, that was your first reply i see, you posted a comment earlier in a new thread. Anyway, can anybody help me?
  16. I recently sent off my first letter to Natwest regarding the £801.00 in charges they had sent me, basically i copied a template letter, read it through and understood everything and tweaked it where necessary. Today i recieved a letter back from; Customer Response Unit Drummond House First Floor 1 Redheughs Avenue Edinburgh EH12 9JN The letter appears generated and has probably been sent to thousands of other people before, attached to the letter is a "Customer Financial Statement which i am supposed to fill out to prove i am in financial hardship. Anyway, the generated letter starts off... "Dear Mr Craske We acknowledge receipt of your complaint about bank charges. We believe that your complaint concerns the level, fairness or lawfulness of the charges. It would be our normal approach to reolve your complaint through our internal complaints process as quickly as possible. However, the bank (along with a number of other banks) has now become involved in legal proceedings with the OFT...." Blah blah it goes on by saying. "Following the receipt of a signed and completed form, we will review your overall financial position..." (What do they mean by this?) Was just wondering what i am supposed to do now? Because i was taken aback by recieving this financial hardship letter. I don't know whether to send it off or whether to write back and demand something, (But what? I have no idea) Please help all, i am new to this site, new to all of this, make my day. Thanks, Daz
