  1. Yeah, I was actually forced, yes forced to buy the Sunday Express the week before last, as it was the only newspaper in the whole shop that DIDN'T have her head on the front.
  2. Honestly, I don't. However, if it's about the Jade Goody wedding dress picture then I can't see why that would be a reason. If someone knows they are dying of a terminal illness yet cannot do so with dignity and instead throws themselves all over the media like a rash with the help of the Clifford chap, then I would say that they are fair game.
  3. I'm not sure what I've done to be hated.
  4. I have no idea who Coleen is, unless she's a Nolan sister, Jake? I don't even know who Reese is, and I though two blokes could only get 'civil agreements' or something. Jen? John? Rihanna? Chris? Nope - I still have no idea. Jade Goody, well....I DO know who that is. I've seen her in her wedding dress:
  5. Hi. This thread is getting even more confusing.

    Car on axle stands?

It's really quite sad that you should have to resort to such measures - I mean, a bit of common sense wouldn't go amiss in a situation like this - sadly, with the DVLA being 'promoted' to an arm of HMRC and with the 'snoop factor' being instilled in everyone, you have to be seriously inconvenienced. OF course, this idea of "them and us" that they seem to revel in creating in us all does them no favours at all. ...and to think, this country used to lead the world.
  7. Hey, an even better way of cleaning up your PC and speeding it up, is to remove Windows and use Ubuntu. You also have the added benefit of never having to install virus software (unless you are running an email server with Windows clients) or spyware software.
  8. I have to say, I just love those quotes. ...but for the purpose of clarity: But it seems that a lot of them want the people to pay THEM for borrowing money that isn't theirs. If I took taxpayers money from people in the street without their permission we would be stealing. Love it. How the worm has turned. So please, unknown warrior, explain how it's now ok, now that it's the other way around?
  9. Excellent - shows them up for what they should be. Twice no photos included? Hmmmmm....?
  10. We do have our own mail server, but sending out that volume of emails in one hit would cause us to end up on the blacklist of many, if not most, ISPs. I started the newsletter from my own house, using my own mail address and home mail server - I was banned from most ISPs within about 200 emails. I am still banned. Once on, it's almost impossible to get off.
  11. Well, seeing as they were private messages to you, I have no idea who it is I do need to assure. Please pass on my sentiments if you would. If people think this is not a good idea, then please say so. You have my word that you will not be moderated for it.
  12. It was I that censored the LB site here - this was due to people, and I don't know which people, PMing lots and lots of our members in an attempt to get them to another site. I had many messages forwarded to me from members who were concerned about the wording. In the forum rules it states that spamming is not allowed. I considered this to be spamming and took appropriate measures. The complaints from people regarding their PMs stopped. As far as I know, I am banned from the site that you mention, the last time I attempted to vist, my IP address was banned.
  13. So, you're saying we have two national lotteries then? What the hell is the DVLA doing? They should spend their time bloody well sorting out SORN declarations, getting addresses right and basically doing the things the are being paid to do, by us. I still maintain that it's time Capita were given notice.
  14. Surely, this is the end of the economic 'slowdown':
  15. Not sure if this is it: Information about - County Court Bulk Centre
  16. Actually, I'm not sure it is hurting us all. Inflation was very high (by my calculations, based on the old *real* way of working it out, it's about 10%) before all this started due to some very bad decisions made by the current government (and indeed, some of the last government). The only thing I can see that has hit the ordinary person is that it much more difficult to get credit (probably for the next year, until the banks get confident again and restore their immense greed). I see that as a good thing. It's only people buying and selling properties for profit and share dealers that are mainly hit. Pensions will actually do very well out of the fluctuations in the stock market in the long run, so in all, and media aside, has anyone's life really been made all that much different?
