  1. Hi Guys, I just wanted to give you an update. Despite the fact that I had surrendered and sent the money with all documents to the police for the points, I have received an mail telling me that they have completed discussion with my insurance company and could confirm that I had an insurance at that time. This means, no points for me and I've got my money back as well . Thanks for the help.
  2. b) the V988 authorising the change of VRM - Is that a standard document you receive? I can't remember having received it. I've got the V5 with the old and new registration certificate. The problem here is that they had my name wrongly spelled on the new v5 certificate. Would that be a problem ?
  3. It was 4 am in the morning and everything was closed. Should I appeal against the decision ? Would it be expensive, if I'd lose this in the court ? Is there a chance of winning?
  4. Hi Guys, I have a policy with norwich union and my car was insured since I had it. I've got a MOT(Can't find it but I will request it), valid tax disc. The only problem was that I had changed my number plate and I forgot to update my car insurance about this. So when I was driving yesterday the police stopped me claiming that I do not have any insurance(I still had the old number plate in the back). Anyway my car was seized, despite my original number plate in the back side and the police office told me that I will get 6 points and would have to pay the charges for my car. He also said that once I can proof I had a valid insurance I would not have to pay the charges nor get the points. Do I have any chance of winning in the court, as the car and I were insured, just not with the new number plate wich I put on recently. Help would be appreciated.
  5. So do you think I should let them know about my address change ? As they do charge more for finding my new address.. Or should I just ignore them.
  6. It's been month now and they haven't got back to me. I've moved home now and I am wondering if I should let them now ?
  7. I'll try and call them. I hope that the call was recorded as you would clearly hear how he guaranteed me selling my car in 7 - 9 days.
  8. They are really ridiculous ! I've emailed them again that I haven't received any login details and so on and I would like a refund. They're just ignoring me! Can I just got to my bank and ask them I would like to claim back money I've paid for a car ad ?
  9. I've already paid the debt off from the credit card. Would I still be eligible for a charge back ? They never emailed me any potential buyers or even gave me the login details to the website.
  10. Hello ! A guy from the website called me several times a week asking me if I would like to put my car on their website to sell it(As I am currently trying to sell the car). He said he gurantees me that they will sell the car in 7 - 9 days for the asking price which was £1200. I thought that sound good and he kind of spoke alot about it and that they will refund me the money if I am not happy and so on. So I agreed and payed a fee of £40 to have him put my car on his website. He did it and I didn't hear anything afterwards from him. I didn't even get any login details, not even after I have written them that I haven't received any information. My car is on the website and the money was taken, but after 10 days the car is still not sold and they never got back to me with any login details for the website. I was wondering if there is any way getting my money back ? He guaranteed me that they will sell the car, but nothing happens. I guess I've just been fooled. VehicleFirst.co.uk || Terms & Conditions | Used Cars for Sale, Buy used car These are the terms. Do you think I am able to get my money back in form of real money and not a credit note(as mentioned there) Thanks for any help !
  11. Hello People, Unfortunately I received a response from them today, after 1 Month. You will find their letter below. Just to clarify Gold's gym confirmed that they forgot to send me any notification about the outstanding payment. So this statement is not really true. Anyways, any ideas what I could do next ? Your contract with Gold’s Gym is NOT a Credit Agreement and therefore, your references to the Consumer Credit Act 1974 are wrong in this case. We have requested a copy of your contract from Gold’s and will forward this to you as soon as received. We must also advise that your debt has not been assigned to us, we simply act as Gold’s agent in collecting this debt. Therefore, it is not a requirement to have a deed of assignment at this stage. Gold’s Gym received notice to cancel from you, but you failed to pay the final month and did not respons to their correspondence, thus you are also liable for your fees, as per terms of your contract. Your settlement of 69 Pounds is therefore not acceptable. We trust this clarifies the matter and will supply your contract as soon as possible
  12. Thanks hilliards. I will send them the letter from IdaInFife tomorrow.
  13. Hi Guys, It's been 1 Month now and CRS still hasn't got back to me. Should I write them another letter or just wait further?
  14. I've sent them the letter yesterday. Now let's see what their response is.
  15. Would it be wiser to send them this letter at the bottom, mentioning that I am in direct contact with the gym and waiting for some information from the manager. Also tell them that I have contacted my local trading standards(As I did that, but haven't received any letter from them yet.). And also offer them to repay the outstanding payment of 69Pounds. Is that a good move?
  16. Hello, Yeah, I asked her to give me that in writing and she said that she needs to confirm this with managment first. I'll collect this with th original contract within the next few days. I am still not sure what I should write to CRS. Any help, ideas ? I need to send the letter out today at lunch time.
  17. I got a copy of a contract(Not exactly the one I've signed, as this needs to be faxed over from headquarters and takes time, but the text on this contract is the same.) Here is the cancellation part: She also mentioned that normally people in arrears are get sent two letters informing them. She confirmed after checking her system that I wasn't sent any arrears letter, but couldn't give me a reason for this. She also declined my payment of 69Pounds. She said that I have to deal with CRS to settle the payments. Any ideas what I can do now ?
  18. Basically there is the Gym, which will just provide me with the contracts if possible and there is CRS which had set the deadline. I've just spoken to the GYM, but not CRS. Therefore I wanted to let CRS now before the 4th. Would that be right, if yes any templates would be appreciated.
  19. @KER Sorry, yes I meant Gold's Gym. I was to angry to think correctly when I've received the letter after 8 Month. Is there any template for telling them not to increase the amount ? I am still waiting for a call from the manager.
  20. They called me back today and the manager told me that they can't provide me another copy(Other then the first copy), because the yellow paper I signed back then can not be copied, as the quality would be extremely bad and not readable. I told her that I will need a copy as I am gonna go legally against CRS and she then said that she can't guarantee anything, but she will check with the general manager. Any suggestions how I could obtain a copy ? The Deadthline for the payment is set to 4th December. They said that they gonna increase the amount afterwards. Would it be really wise to wait or should I let them know I am looking into it or something similar ?
  21. What about the deathline until the 4th December? They threatened me to apply more charges if I don't pay until that day. I've requested my contract and cancellation form from the GYM today. I am just nervous that in case I have to pay that amount now, it will be more later. Is there any law which stops them from increasing the amount until the matter is settled or something?
  22. I've found the letter, thanks. I will go there tomorrow and ask the manager about the contract and payment. Let's see how things go.
  23. @Netyard I'am now in the same trouble and would like to know the outcome of your dispute? Did you still have to pay the fees ?
  24. What if I can't find the agreement anymore ? The DCA threatened me to apply further charges if I don't pay until the 4th December. What if they increase the charges ? I have contacted the GYM and they told me that I have an outstanding balance of 69 Pounds, but the manager wasn't there so I could not really negotiate.
