  2. Hi thanks for your continued support, i was in planet ice today and spoke to the manager and she says it happens all the time and all i need to do is send proof i bought a ticket. Shall i risk it or wait? Many thanks
  3. Ok no problem many thanks. Just one more thing you may know, over the 15 years its been elderly parents of my mums bf and then myself in the property. Would we be classed as dependants and receive the relief? Many thanks for all your support. Also in regards to the above base rate questions. Would it make a difference if it was sold via each other or transferred. Many thanks
  4. Ok thanks for.your help. I maybe completly wrong but can a married couple sell a property to the other and not have to pay the capital gains tax, thus setting the new base price. Then re sell on the market at base price and no gains due. Many thanks
  5. Actualy it was even more complicated than that, my mums bfs parents moved in the place so my mums bfs wife could move into there place. And i was with a gf for a few years but moved to the place when my mums bfs parnets passed away. So the property has been used by family members since it was purchased but not charged rent. Many thanks Ok thats what i thought. Are there any other ways of reducing this? Gifts, pension or investment? Or is it all done once the sale has gone through. Many thanks
  6. Its a strange one because she moved in with her boyfriend soon to be husband when they purchased the place and i carried on living here paying bills and council tax etc. I didn't pay any rent at all. Many thanks
  7. Hi abit of a strange one i need some advice on. My mum bought her council property more than 15 years ago at a cost of 15,000. She has moved in with her boyfriend and now wants to sell the property. Its still a leasehold as its a maisonette but has been valued around 185,000. Aside from the normal fees associated with selling a house we are getting worried about capital gains tax. We are hearing she will need to pay around 28% tax. Which is alot when this was suppose to be for retirement etc. She also wants to gift some to me and my brother. But will not be purchasing another property as her boyfriend has one. I have several questions and would like some advice on paying as little or none at all. Obviously none is not going to happen but minimal. Firstly, do you pay capital gains on the selling amount or the amount you receive after fees, stamo duty etc. How much capital gains would be due, is there an allowance? Does timescale have an impact. Is there anyway to gift any, put the funds into a pension or investment schemes? Shes due pension next year. Signing the property to more than one owner? Any help or advice on the matter will be great. Shes not too happy at the prospect of handing over 40,000 in tax. Thanks in advance Tp I just read if they get married within 3 years or sell 1 property within 3 years of getting married you dont pay?
  8. It says on ticket i have 21 days to appeal, pay within 28 and reduction if paid within 14. Many thanks

  11. Ok so i got a parking charge notice over easter as my ticket blew off dash board as no sticker provided. I displayed it once i noticed half way into my two hour stay which i paid for. But was too late i already has a ticket. All info is on the ticket but the info regarding the fine and reduction is printed over there logo and cannot be read and sentences broken up. I do have the original ticket. And have not appealed or anything yet. If someone could advise the best course of action that will be great. The muppets involved are county parking. Thanks in advance
  12. Hi, cut a long story short an argument with my daughters mum escalated when she pulled her half of her family out of our daughters 6th bday party. Leaving us with no food party bags of cakes, therefore ruining the party forcing it to be cancelled. She ignored me and I got wound up and kept calling and txting her. I was very upset and angry and send a few abusive and threatening ones. She made a complaint to the police pure and simple to get back at me. This has all stemmed from me getting a new gf and not having my daughter one weekend when I was supposed to. I am being charged with harassment without violence. Due to attend court on the 10th Dec. Any advice moral support would be good, hat sort of punishment or mitigating factors will help. I have never been in trouble only a drink drive more then ten years ago. We have a hostile history but never gone this far. Never had a complaint.
  13. What should I do as I said I'd be back tomorrow to speak to the store manager and I'm sure he will turn around and say they wont do anything.
  14. I bought a toilet lever for a fiver first one broke after six months, got replaced, this was replaced on the 5.9.13, now on the 2.9.14 the same thing has happened. The very rude duty manager said I they cannot help because '' it was bought last year''. When asked about my statutory rights he still said no. Please can someone advise me on this before a take it further which I intend on doing. Many thanks in advance
  15. Also i will add they say it is gonna happen if i do not take out there landline phone, this to me is blackmail,
  16. Hi, i have received an email this morning telling me plusnet are increasing my broadband by £1.50 per month, obviously this is alot and is mid term of my contract with them, my questions are can they do this as i dont have any paper work to see terms and what legal rights do i have to cancel without paying a cancellation fee. Any advice on the matter will be great. Many Thanks Tim
  17. Thanks brig, as of this moment it is only on my equifax one, i have raised a question with them and they now say its with a 3rd party, i guess they have sent to bt. There is no dca on the cra file just bt, but about x4 have tried collecting an amount around £84 when bt have defaulted it at £84. Also on another note i sent provident a cca request and they said they couldnt find anything, then they wrote off balance send my fee for cca back but on checking my file received a lovley default, what are your thoughts on this? Many thanks
  18. I beleave they havent followed guidelines to place the default, i.e sent me a letter and account showed upto date on 6 months before and then out of the blue a default, i cannot remember the state of the account but i thought they had to report at least 3 months late on the cra before a default, and also the dcas letter that come threw are for a completely different balance to what bt have put on the cra. Many thanks
  19. What do I need to look out for when i get all the info, will this not be me agreeing the debt is mine? is there a letter to cut n paste? Many thanks dx
  20. Sort of, I never got a ccj as i paid what they were requesting, just want to see if they have everything in order and if not try and get the default removed, many thanks
  21. i checked my equifax credit file noticed bt had put a default on my file which i think has been put on incorect and may have grounds for removal, if anyone can help that will be great, the account showed upto date for 8 months then about 8 ? tags and then 6 months showing upto date then bam a default out of nowhere, now do they have to show x3 or x6 late tags or what, im disputing it with equifax now who say it is with a 3rd party, any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
  22.
