Hi Ell, Just a quick update, I received this back from Hull today: Dear Miss xxxxxxxxxxxx Thank you for your letter of 02/02/2009 received by me today regarding the above mentioned agreement. I have noted your comments and instructed our head office to contacy you in writing today as requested. Yours Sincerely I will let you know when I hear back from head office.

Hi Ell, No, I was going to post it when I went into town the following day, before I went into town the other letter came stating they were still looking into it and would get back to me, I thought I would wait to see what they had to say when they got back to me, as like I said, I thought cattles must have got onto them in response to my letter to them and that they were having another look at it, so I was expecting a response from head office at mere way.

Well nothing arrived until today and it was a default notice from Hull, which read the following, I was expecting a response from head office as promised, not this: WITHOUT PREJUDICE Dear Miss xxxxxxxxxxxxxx FAILURE TO READ THIS LETTER MAY RESULT IN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS You are hereby served under section 87 (1) of the consumer credit act with the attatched default notice. we intend to exercise our rights to enforce collection unless you clear the arrears within fourteen days or alternatively contact us with your proposals for settlement. Be advised that should you fail to contact us and legal action becomes necessary we may apply through the courts for an attatchemnet of earnings order to be made and deductions via your employers This notice should include a copy of the office of fair trading information sheet on default, This contains important information about your rights and where to go for support and advice. If it is not included you should contact us to get one. You will also be held liable for legal expenses incurred. We strongly urge you to telephone the undersigned immediatley with you intentions. Hi Ell, you really are a star, I'm so greatful of all the help you're giving me. Basically along the lines of I am still currently unemployed and with the price of everything at the moment, food, utility bills etc, I can only afford to pay them £20 a month.

I just received a reply back from Welcome head office,(The head person of Cattles totally ignored my letter even though I have proof they received it) they have refunded all charges and want me to call a Mr Richard Craven at the local management branch of wfs in S****horpe on 01724 856881 to discuss where we go with the account now. obviously I don't want to call him on the phone, I'd rather do everything in writing, has anyone had any dealings with this Mr Craven and also does anyone have an address of which to write to him. Thank you.

They have no power to get an attachment to earnings on your wages and your boss will no doubt tell them to do one if they asked for your boss to do it.
