  4. Hi, My other half has recently lost her job and is now on income support so can no longer afford the repayments at the current levels., she never managed to pay these 2 bill last month and since then they've both reproduced the next months bill, the other day she received a letter from the arrears collections dept of both these catalogues stating that the over due amounts need to be paid straight away and adding £12 each for the pleasure. My partner has had both of these account for over 8 yrs a piece and hasn't had any problem paying them until now that she has lost her job. Can anyone please advise what she should do now regards these please, any help will be a weight off her mind as she is worried about these greatly. Thanks.
  5. Thank you for your response, like I said previously my account isn't in arrears and I pay my bill every month.
  6. Hi, I just received this letter from shop direct today and could do with some advice or if someone could be so kind to do me a letter to send back off to them, I don't want them coming to my house as I really don't like dealing with people personally and am a nervious person, here is there letter, I have no arrears on my account and I pay it every month without fail: Dear ****** I am writing to you in my role of agency relationship manager for the shop direct group. My role is to support exceptional agents who regularly shop with us. Your account allows for purchases to be made on behalf of customers and i would like to ensure that your credit limit meets the needs of yourself and your customer. To enable us to fully review your credit to match your agency needs i would therefore be conducting home visit to gather your account information. I would be greatful if you could contact us on telephone number below to arrange an appointment and discuss the visit. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. xxxxxxx Like I say I am a very nervous person, so I don't want anyone visiting my house and I don't like talking to people on the phone, I spend so much on my account as I don't go out either so it enables me to buy all the things I need and want without going to the shops. Like I said also, my account is up to date and I have no arrears and I pay my bill every month without fails. I hope you cna help and advise me.
  7. Hardupnotfedup, sod off, this site does not condone companys ripping people off for money that they don't owe, I owed £42 to sky, they've never directly asked me for it, since I sent the letter to the clowns named above nothing has been heard since from them. I now have sky in my new home and sky said that the £42 was wrote off.
  8. I think these debt collecting clowns have bought the debt from sky. Over 2yrs ago wescot came chasing for £42. I replied to them, they then sent a letter saying I hadn't responded to them, they then claimed the amount owed was £138 and not the £42 as mentioned in their first letter to me. they then replied to me saying they'd returned the matter to sky, Now fast forward 2yrs without hearing one word from sky, and S.R.J Debt Recoveries are now on the case, this is without sky making any contact with me for nearly 2yrs after wescot returned the account back to them, I think S.R.J may have bought this from wescot for pennys. This is the letter I previously sent wescot, from this they sent me a letter saying it had been returned to sky, this was nearly 2yrs ago. ACCOUNT IN DISPUTE ACCOUNT REFxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Dear sir, Please be advised that my account is in dispute with you, I totally disagree with the figure you say I owe you of £138.00, this is in no way a true figure of the amount that I owe which is infact £42.00. Until you confirm to me that the true amout owed is £42 I will not be making any payment on this account. I look forward to hearing back from you shortly regards this matter. Yours Sincerely xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  9. I do still owe £42 to sky as I sent the letter I previously did to wescott, from that letter wescot sent it back to sky, I only moved to this address in March of this year so as you can see nothing was done about it from sky, now nearly 2 years down the line this, I think a letter saying something like this amount owed is VERY in dispute and has already been returned back from Wescott to sky because of this and may I suggest your company does likewise?
  10. Hi, Wescott just went away previously but I can't remember how I did it, but now I have moved house again this debt has reared its head again but this time from S.R.J Debt recoveries, would anyone be so kind to knock me up a letter I can send them to basically sod off or point me to a correct tempelate letter to send them. Thanks for any help or advice.
  11. I hope the Scarborough one has closed down, it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of muppets. Ha Ha Ha, their phone is cut office so it must be true.
  12. I just drove past our local welcome office in Scarborough and one of the workers was already busy working at the computer.
  13. I always thought Scarborough was closer to Hull than Nottingham.
  14. I wish sony were as helpful with me regards my 10mth old sony Viao laptop which is dead and they claim 'liquid damage' to get out of a warrenty repair and quote me £760 to fix it, the dam thing hasn't been anywhere near any liquid the [causing problems] gits,
  15. I might send a good luck card also (£15) and also do another and post it through the door just incase royal mail fail to deliver it, you know what they're like (£25).
  16. I thought it was the nice polite thing to do, afterall they hounded me something cronic when I lost my job, they didn't wish me luck then in finding new employment, just the decent human thing to do to wish them well.
  17. "STRUGGLING consumer lender Cattles yesterday said it was in “constructive” talks with its creditors in a bid to gain more breathing space over debts. The firm, whose shares were suspended in April, faces looming deadlines on payments to bondholders and must refinance £500m in wholesale funding with a bank consortium led by Royal Bank of Scotland by July 14. Batley-based Cattles is pushing for a “standstill agreement” which will see these payments suspended while it resolves its future." Isn't it really funny how they want their creditors to do something that they weren't willing to do for their customers who had lost their jobs recently. ******S
  18. The muppets at the local shop here just answered the phone, I wished them good luck in the job hunt. lol
  19. He's only going to **** himself like plenty of people have no doubt told him to do of late.
